Dolapo and Abigail have been married for five years and they both had a wonderful daughter called Angel. When Angel clocked two years, she was always dropped by Dolapo every morning at school before taking the next turn to his office.
Abigail would have done everything she needed to do at home. She is a full time housewife and this was an agreement between both of them. She is always the one going to pick Angel up at school.
Dolapo has been the best husband and father to his family and it looks as if the home is quite in a good order until things turned around for them when Sharon crawled into the picture.
Sharon is a permanent secretary at Dolapo 's office and many times, she has been giving him some seductive looks and would always walk up to his office with an excuse to either ask Dolapo to sign a document or many times to take her out for lunch. Dolapo never saw anything bad in that as he saw it as being friendly to his staff at work.
He later gave in to Sharon on a particular day they both went out for lunch. Sharon never got tired of trying to lure Dolapo to herself as she kept trying her luck until he finally succumbs to her move.
Please, let's make this a secret between us. You know I'm a married man...he said to her
Sure, I will definitely shut my mouth up.
Sharon has been desperately looking for a man in her life as she kept having break ups in her relationship. One would think something tangible went wrong but no, she was actually the problem. No guy was ever good to her and her aim is to always ruin their lives. So, Dolapo is the next victim.
Only if Dolapo could notice the bad signs but he was too calm to see what was going to happen next. He doesn't care anymore.
One night, he came home late and Abigail tried to question him but he flared up at her.
Woman, what's wrong with you? When has it come to you questioning me of being late?
Am I a small kid? Can't I walk freely anytime I want?
Ehn, answer me, you this good for nothing woman.....you bastarrr....
The shout of "Daddy, Daddy" by Angel cut him off to complete what he was about to say next.
He quietly carried her onto his arms and pecked her
My Darling Angel! How are you today?
Dad, I love you
Abigail couldn't believe what she just heard. What has went wrong with Dolapo? Who made his day bad?
He refused to eat and went to sleep.
Early the next morning, he got prepared for work and didn't wait for breakfast
Honey, I have made your breakfast, it's tea and bread with egg. Should I serve it or pack into your lunch bag?
He looked at her with disdain and walked out on her
Abigail looked sober and cried that morning. She managed to take Angel to school because Dolapo couldn't wait to do so
Back in the office, Sharon prepared some meal for him which they both ate and kissed for some minutes and the relationship kept going smoothly secretly.
For weeks, Dolapo refused to eat at home nor talk to his wife. This made Abigail went into thinking each day and this affected her health.
With all of these happenings, Dolapo never cared to talk to her. She decided to go see a doctor and that was when the news splitted her soul into two.
Sorry ma, your condition is worse and suffering from anaemia. I wouldn't want you to go into deep thought as this could hasten the bad news.
"What bad news again Doctor?"
I am sorry to say this. You only have 30days to live as this sickness has eaten deep into your system
Doctor, can you do me a favor? I wouldn't want you to say anything to my husband. Let it remain as it is
Okay, as you wish Madam
When Abigail got home, she thought of Angel and wouldn't want anything to affect her daughter. So she planned taking Angel to her Aunt so they could both work things out if ever something would work out well.
She talked to Dolapo that night about taking Angel to her Aunt and he told her to do as she wished even without looking at her side. This made Abigail concluded that he wasn't even interested in listening to her and her child.
The next day, she took Abigail to her Aunt to stay for a month and she never bothered to explain things to her Aunt. She only lied that Angel was on holiday and would be picking her up when school resumes.
She got home and was lonely and alone everyday while Dolapo would always return home late each night.
One day, he came back home late as usual and saw blood everywhere in the room. He still didn't ask what was wrong while Abigail was covered with blankets feeling sick on the bed.
He would always talk with Sharon every moment and never had the time for his wife. Abigail knew there was a woman but he never spoke about it with him.
Perhaps she was waiting for the day everything would go down when she finally dies. She kept her problem to herself and would always talk with Angel whenever she calls her Aunt.
Until one-day, Dolapo got a call from the office that his wife was rushed to the hospital. He took his car key and went there. He saw his wife in her wedding gown and immediately his eyes were opened to reality.
He saw Abigail struggling with her life on the sick bed and beside her, there was a letter;
Hi Dolapo, I know this day would come. Did you see this wedding gown I am putting on, I want you to remember this day forever. I know there has been a woman in your life that has made our home hell. You choose her over us, I and Angel. You didn't bother to ask of us again. You made me go deep in thought and it affected me. Doctor said I had anaemia which I would only last for 30 days. Yes, today is the 30th day.
You allowed a woman to ruin our happy moment. You turned yourself into another being just because of a woman who was never your wife. You gave I and Angel another doubt if you were really meant for us. I was sick but you never asked me what was wrong. I forgive you forever and do not forget to take care of our daughter. I love you so much Dolapo
Dolapo broke down in tears and wept like a baby but it was too late.
He held Abigail's hand with tears in his eyes

Suddenly, she moved her hand but gave up the ghost.
He was uncontrollably on the floor as they tried to pacify him but it was too late to cry.
It was a bitter and awful experience for him
