This weekend I was out in Eastern California when I ran into an issue. I needed some quick cash so I went to Bittrex to cash out some HBD(Hive Dollars). When I tried to deposit HBD I noticed that Bittrex no longer supported HBD or HIVE deposits. I've been using Bittrex since 2017 to sell Steem & HIVE and trade so I surprised to encounter this. I did a little bit of research as to the reason but I couldn't find a clear answer. You can still trade the coins, but you can't deposit?

So I looked around to see what other exchanges offer trading, Upbit but you have to be Korean to use or Bittrex, ugg.

Then I remembered BlockTrades. I immediately opened it and found the process so incredibly easy that I will exclusively use them now for all my transactions.

It works like a swap. You enter the coin you want offer from your wallet to trade for the coin you want. In this case it was HBD for Bitcoin.

The coin you want is transferred directly to the wallet address you give them. For me it was to my Cashapp BTC wallet so I could pull the money out right away. Even better, the first trade went through faster than any other exchange I have used when dealing with bitcoin. I am pretty sure it was one block time, 10min. Bittrex would usually take around 20minutes.

You can trade several other coins too like Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum and a few other coins, basically the big or older ones.

If you are looking to move HBD or HIVE your options are very limited now. In a world becoming less free, BlockTrades has given us an avenue of monetary freedom with the least amount of BS. Thank you guys!
