THE TRUTH. {POB-WOTW}.

Have someone ever told you an attribute that you posses and it feels offensive. If so it is most likely true.

The Truth is Bitter

There is a difference between pointing out wrongs and being offensive; being corrected could feel bitter. Nevertheless, it is left for the person with the bad attitude to focus on the positive part; the correction than to take the misunderstood “insult” to heart. And also the corrector needs to talk to him putting his feelings into consideration which is sometimes hard to do when you want to tell the truth. It just has to be said the way it is, which makes it bitter.

No matter how we try not to hurt those we love by telling the truth, sometimes it still comes out bitter because it would probably push them to watch or change there acts or behaviors towards someone or something.

Relationships and Truth
In relationships when we tell the truth to our spouses about a repeated behavior, we feel scared because it might hurt them. But if the truth is not out, the love is not genuine and their will not be growth. Making people know how you truly feel about their actions or attributes could result to a bitter feeling but it would create a better bond.

The Truth will set you free

As much as it is bitter, it is liberating; the Truth. Open up... be open minded to corrections, both as the ‘sender’ and ‘receiver’ of the Truth. It sets the mind free and facilitates a healthy relationship. It just has to be said in a resp ectful way; that is, without making looking judgmental, insensitive and spiteful.

*How I channel the bitterness
Times I’m corrected and it kinda gets to me, I tell myself that this feeling shouldn’t crush me. When you are being corrected, you just need to forgive yourself and be better. It wouldn’t kill you but make you overcome something stronger. This is how I change my behavior towards the truth. Although I can be stubborn sometimes, trust me it feels painful but what comes after the bitterness could be sweet.
