Educational:bedrock of the nation

Hello and happy weekend fellas.
When I saw this topic, I smiled as I travelled down memory lane when we were in primary and secondary schools. Whenever a teacher asks what we would wish to be in the future, we will be shouting doctor, lawyer, engineer, architect and all those big names but nobody ever wanted to be a teacher but right now, I can tell you that almost all of us are teachers and due to lack of admissions in our areas of choices and some who couldn't get jobs in their fields of studies are also teaching in private schools. What an irony. 😊

Why we never liked teaching was because of how the government are treating them right from the primary school teachers up to the teachers at the higher institution (lecturers).

However, let me tell you the course I studied about 10 years ago in the university.

A Proud Trained Educational Administrator and Planner

After my SSCE exams I sat for JAMB the following year and also did aptitude test but couldn't gain admission because in my dearest country, you must know someone to be able to gain admission into the higher institution.
However I registered again the following year and was about to write another JAMB when I was miraculously offered an admission in a federal university different from the one I applied for which was a state university. So for the fun of it, I sat for the exams I sat but till today, I've never bothered to check my scores anymore.

My field of study

I have never heard about the course I was offered to study. And I began to ask my older siblings what it is all about and where I could work with the certificate.
The course is Educational Administration and Planning

Educational Administration and Planning is a reputable course that produces knowledgeable, skillful, dynamic and value-driven of the 21st century teachers, educational managers and planners who are trained to inculcate knowledge and also fit into the educational sector both national and internationally.

Why I studied it and how it is useful to life and society at large

I studied Educational Administration and Planning to be able to have a positive say in rebranding Nigeria education, seeing that it's deteriorating every day is giving me cause to worry.
Education planners are saddled with the responsibilities of planting schools, designing of curriculum to suit the learners and also design of school structures both academically and architecturally.
Yes you read it well. Even architecturally because we are trained to understand the environment suitable for sound learning and sitting positions for easily assimilation.
I am glad I studied this course. If only the educational system is sound without corruption, Nigeria would have been the best place to study.

Thank you for taking your time to read.
