There is no God but me, extrapolated from the Ten Commandments, and I disagree. The problem is not which higher entity to believe in, the real problem is us human beings, imperfect, overbearing and selfish.

We can build cathedrals on the highest mountains or masques in the remotest deserts, but we are the destroyers of nature. I do not believe that praying can bring about change, which is already triggered by our behaviors against ourselves and against ecology. I painted a symbol of religion awash in water, lonely and ambiguous in its appearance.

In the distance are the symbols of our history, which has taught us nothing.

Inondazioni - acquarello su carta

Non esiste altro Dio all'infuori di me, estrapolato dai dieci comandamenti, ed io non sono daccordo. Il problema non è in quale entità superiore credere, il vero problema siamo noi esseri umani, imperfetti, prepotenti ed egoisti.

Possiamo edificare cattedrali sulle montagne più alte o maschee nei deserti più remoti, ma siamo i distruttori della natura.
Non credo che pregare possa portare ad un cambiamento, già innescato dai nostri comportamenti contro noi stessi e contro l'ecologia.

Ho dipinto un simbolo della religione inondato dalle acque, solitario e ambiguo nel suo aspetto.

In lontananza i simboli della nostra storia, che non ci ha insegnato nulla.
