A new piece for sale on NFTshowroom : The Lady Electric

I've been working on a few more pieces in my Singularity series of late. I hadn't any intention really of doing more, but after realizing these ladies WILL be painted, I new they should be for #nft it seems the fitting place for them to exist.

This piece is an altered piece I just finished for Makers Place in that piece, which I'll most likely share in a separate post as it takes forever to get it up on Makersplace (unless you want to pay exorbitant amounts of ETH) I wanted to let this lovely lady glow and be a part of my little growing #nftshowroom collection.

I found, with this piece, that I really wanted to go in on the portraiture you can often find in the 18th and 19th century. I love the detailed face and bits of hair but to have that and the outfit slip into a soft fade of oil pastels just gives it that antiquity I love.

The contrast between an antique quality portrait with the glow of tech just amuses me

Her eyes glow and radiate with the life inside her and in this iteration, green and purple add to that over all illumination. The original piece, of which there will be only one, is in my usual choice of Titian Red hair. But, toying with colour and saturation after I finished it is what lead to me wanting this version to exist and be for sale on #nftshowroom. There are only 5 minted and they are for sale now Here in the Showroom

This is the general storyline of the world in which I've created in my mind when making the portraits of these ladies

*In my Singularity Series we visit a post Singularity world in which the merging of man and machine has come and gone. This world is peopled by a class of hybrids who wander the ruins of great estates and manor houses wondering at their existence. How and why are they. The eternal question baffles them.

My goal is to posit a possible, if not fantastical, future post our New World; Beyond green and virus lives the hybrid, wondering at themselves.*

I hope you enjoy my Electric Lady and my series in general. I'll be sharing her 'sister' when it uploads to Maker's place. I have a few more sketches in my journals clambering to get out and be made into color and electrified onto the blockchain, they are a pushy lot.

I hope you have a wonderful day and can find a moment of joy and a bit of time to indulge in your own creative passion, whatever that might be.
