Today I am going to share my @splinterlands inspired Art work that I have been doing for almost a week before I begin with my drawing process I will give you some information about the splinterlands card CELESTIAL HARPY

LORE

The harpies of the Celestial Clan are called as such because they dwell on the highest peaks of the mountains across the Splinterlands and prefer peace over violence. Their feathers are the blue and white colors of the sky, making them hard to see for anyone on the ground. They sing beautiful melodies that can sometimes be heard on a gentle spring breeze. Living in peaceful clans, the harpies remain to themselves and immerse in a world of beauty, art, and freedom.

Because of their beautiful plumage and the mystical stories told about them, hunters come. They journey far up the mountains, seeking to kill a harpy for coin and glory. But any hunter that makes it that high never comes back. For the Celestial Clan works as a team to defend one another. And they do not show mercy to those who have darkness in their heart.

Battle Tips

Celestial Harpy is a Rare life Unit. This card is commonly used for low mana battles because it only requires 2 mana. Its also good for attacking support monsters of your opponents because of the Opportunity Ability. Battle position is it can be place from the 3rd position to the last position, depends also on how many manas are required for the battle. It also has a flying ability which is also good specially on the Earth Quake Battle rule.

My Art Procedure

Sketch and Outline

First is Creating a rough Sketch, to show the body post and the the wings.

Outlining and putting detailed drawings on the face and the wings and feathers.

Coloring/Shading/Highlights

I began my coloring process on the eyes and lips, I chose also blue color to match other colors later.

Then I started coloring the face. I also added shadows on the edges.

Then I colored the upper part of the body and the arms. I colored the neck part in full shadow color.

Then I added some highlights on part of the chest at arms.

Then I colored the rest of the body I also added some highlights on part of the legs.

Then I colored the Hair, I chose light blue color to make it look a little different from the color of the feathers which will be blue.

After that I put blue colors as a base color for the feathers.

Then I added details on each feathers, I added shadow outlines and highlights.

Now for the part of the wings, This is the most difficult part for me, because of adding every details on each feathers of the wings. First I colored the wings in blue as a base color.

Then I began Adding details on the right wing. first is by adding dark blue colors.

Then I added shadows on the intersection of each feathers. and added some highlights for each feather.

Then I added more details for the feathers and also added colors for the tail.

Then I started Adding Shadows shades on the other side of the wing.

Then I added more details and highlights.

I added some finishing touches on the feathers too, to make it look like a blue and a white color feather just like what is said on the Card Lore.

BACKGROUND

I also run some trouble in creating the best background for my work.

This is my first verwsion of the background its a sky and clouds.

This is the result of combining it to the background. I was not satified with the result so I made another one.

This is the second Version of my background Mountains, and clouds in the sky that will make my character look like it s flying.

As for the Final Result and I know it much better from my previous background. I also added Double Note and Eight note on the side of the wings to represent the "They sing beautiful melodies" from the Card lore.
