Who travels in space often travels in time too. Mostly in the past:) Contemplating the majestic buildings of the past, we try to move to the time when they were created. We will never be able to know exactly how people lived then. How they felt about the world and each other. We learn this from books, from such travels, from music and other arts of the past... With the help of intuition and emotions we can try to move into the past.

Ми ніколи не зможемо дізнатися з точністю, як жили люди тоді. Як вони відчували світ і один одного. Ми вивчаємо це з книг, із таких мандрів, із музики та інших видів мистецтва минулого... За допомогою інтуїції та емоцій ми можемо спробувати перенестися у минуле.

Here is such a philosophical introduction. And this is not surprising. For some reason, Pidhirtsi always puts me in a state of reflection. This is not the first time I have been in this ancient castle. Honestly, it's easier to write an article if you've been in a good place once, then come home and written right away:) First impressions, emotions are important... And when you've been in a good place a few times, His Majesty Brain turns on. And you want to analyze, compare, look to the future, evaluate.

Ось такий філософський вступ вийшов. А це не дивно. Чомусь Підгірці мене завжди вводять у стан роздумів. І навіть коли я переглядаю ці фото... Я роблю це не вперше. Щось редагую, а щось видаляю. Я не вперше у цьому старовинному замку. Скажу чесно: легше написати статтю, якщо ти побував у гарному місці один раз, потім прийшов додому і одразу написав:) Важливе перше враження, емоція... А коли ти побував у хорошому місці кілька разів, то включається його величність Мозок. Хочеться аналізувати, порівнювати, зазирати в майбутнє, оцінювати. Тому я триматимуcь, як за соломинку за мій останній візит у Підгірці у червні цього року.

On that wonderful strange day I was pulled out of home by @nadin-zakrevska. Me and rain are incompatible things. But it seemed that during the noon it decreased. When I left home, even the sun was shining! However, when we met in the middle of the road, to start heavy rain. But we desided to keep our plan. Especially since we have "serious" shoes!

В той чудовий дивний день мене витягнула з дому @nadin-zakrevska. Я і дощ - це речі несумісні. Але здавалося, що вдень він зменшилася. Коли я вирушила з дому навіть світило сонце! Проте, коли ми зустрілися з подругою по середині дороги (бо живемо неподалік від потрібного місця, але з різних сторін), то почався рясний дощ. Але відступати нікуди. Тим паче у нас бойове взуття! Зазвичай у таких чоботах я ходжу на город або гуляю по селі, щоб врятуватися від болота.

After getting a little lost, we went up the hill. This beautiful village is called Pidhirtsi ie "Under the Hill", because it is located under and on a hill. This is the Voronyaki plateau, which stretches for about 60 km and affects my village, as well as the village of Nadin. That is, in theory, you can walk through the ridge overgrown with forest from my house here! There are beautiful landscapes around!
To have time for the tour we had to hurry a bit! And here are three tourists (Nadin, her son Maxim and me) moving forward!

Трішки заблукавши, ми таки виїхали на пагорб. Це красиве село має назву "Під-гірці", адже знаходиться під і на пагорбі. Це плоскогір'я Вороняки, яке тягнуться десь на 60 км і зачіпає моє село, а також село Наді. Тобто теоретично можна пройти пішки через хребет, порослий лісом від мого дому сюди (може колись дозрію)! Навколо красиві краєвиди.
Щоб встигнути на екскурсію нам довелося трохи поспішити:) І ось троє туристів рухаються вперед!

From afar we are greeted by a slightly gloomy but beautiful palace that has survived difficult times. Not very clear weather only adds special mood. At first we decided to go inside, because there was not much time. The castle is undergoing a very long restoration. Therefore, there is no exhibition. Everything that was valuable has long been destroyed and stolen during the two world wars and in peacetime. A fire in 1956 destroyed the building quite seriously. Than there was a tuberculosis hospital.

Вже здалеку нас вітає трохи похмурий, але красивий палац, що пережив складні часи. Не надто ясна погода лише додає антуражу. Спочатку вирішили зайти всередину, адже часу було не так багато. Замок перебуває на дууууже довгій реставрації. Тому експозиції немає. Все, що було цінне, давно знищили та вкрали під час двох світових воєн і в мирний час. Пожежа у 1956 зруйнувала будівлю досить серйозно, тоді у ній розташовувалась тублікарня...

It is a pity, because one of the owners of the castle was an ardent collector. He collected weapons, paintings, books. From the black and white photos we can learn that there was a luxurious interior and each room had its own color, style and theme. Well... And since then there are only beautiful portals and a fireplace made of black marble...

Один із власників замку був палким колекціонером. Він збирав зброю, картини, книги. З чорно-білих фото ми можемо дізнатися, що тут був розкішний інтер'єр і кожна кімната мала свій колір, стиль і тематику. Ну що ж... А тепер з тих часів лишилися лише прекрасні портали та камін із чорного мармуру...

You can look at these bas-reliefs for a long time. There is a coat of arms with a horseshoe everywhere. Above the portals hang modern paintings of an abstract nature ... They look specific here, but maybe you like it.

Можна довго розглядати ці барельєфи. Повсюди є герб із підковою. Над порталами висять сучасні картини абстрактного характеру... Вони тут виглядають специфічно, але може вам сподобається.

The rooms here are arranged in an enfilade. That is, they pass into each othe. At one point I even feel dizzy. If there was more time and less people, I could catch a cool shot... I tried...

Admiring the old stove, we went out on the terrace. From there stretches a cool landscape, but that day was a little foggy. What an interesting and gloomy clouds! Against their background, the castle looks majestic!

Помилувавшись старою піччю, ми вийшли на терасу. Звідти простягається класний краєвид, але цього дня було трошки туманно. Зате які цікаві і похмурі хмари. На їхньому фоні замок виглядає велично!

As the wild wind blew on the terrace, we fled to... the dungeon. There's a scary tale for tourists: the ghost of a White Lady who is illuminated by lightning bolts. And a scary melody sounds when you see the Lady. It was difficult to take a photo or video. And it is not necessary: ​​it is better to look live. To be honest, I don't remember the legend about the ghost, but I think unhappy love is blame as always:(

Оскільки на терасі почався дикий вітер, ми втекли у ... підземелля. Там є страшилка для туристів: привид білої пані, який освітлюється блискавки світла. І озвучується дійсно трохи страшною мелодією. Фото чи відео було важко зняти. Та й не потрібно: краще при нагоді подивіться вживу. Якщо чесно легенди я не пам'ятаю, але думаю у всьому винне як завжди нещасливе кохання:(

It was interesting to consider both the general appearance of the building and the details, although the stucco was a bit destroyed over time.

Well, then we headed to the backyard of the palace. We passed through a moat that was part of the defense.

The palace was built with certain protective functions, although to be honest it was often stormed by enemies. Apparently, its main goal was a peaceful, luxurious life, feasts, receptions... Here, where the lush grass now grows, was an incredibly beautiful park!

Що ж, далі ми попрямували до заднього двору палацу. Ми пройшли через рів, який був частиною оборони. Палац будували із певними захисними функціями, хоча чесно кажучи, його часто брали штурмом вороги. Мабуть, все ж його основною метою було мирне, розкішне життя, бенкети, прийоми... Ось тут, де зараз росте буйна трава, був неймовірно красивий парк!

The castle was built in the middle of the 17th century. It often changed owners. Among the most famous were Stanislaw Koniecpoolski (chief hetman of the Polish army), King Jan III Sobieski, the Zhevuski dynasty. It was the latters who in the 18th century improved the palace, created an Italian park, which was located on three levels-terraces. Even in the interwar years, the remnants of beauty can be seen in the photo... Yes, Pidhirtsi is a small Versailles, but our government never has the money for things like that! It is unlikely that the park will be restored, but I hope that the castle will survive.
There is a lot of beauty here: stairs, stone vases, arch. Imagine, once there were still flower beds, sculptures, fountains. Everything is in strict symmetry.

Серед найбільш іменитих були Станіслав Конєцпоольський (головний гетьман польського війська), король Ян ІІІ Собеський, династія Жевуських. Якраз ці останні у 18 столітті вдосконалили палац, створили італійський парк, який розташовувався на трьох рівнях-терасах. Ще у міжвоєнні роки залишки краси видно на фото... Так, Підгірці це є маленький Версаль, але наша влада ніколи не має коштів та такі речі! Навряд чи парк вдасться відновити, але сподіваюся, що сам замок вистоїть.
Тут є чимало краси: сходини, кам'яні вази, арка. Уявімо соб,і що колись тут були ще клумби, скульптури, фонтани. Усе у строгій симетрії.

At one point I hide in a corner of the wind, and Nadin goes further to capture the whole building. Instead, I capture the plants growing in cracked walls.

Probably it's time for hot tea! Of course, if it was warmer, we would still be looking for some secret corners, wild places. But we run to the cafe:)

В один момент я ховаюсь у якийсь куток від вітру, а Надя йде далі щоб зловити у кадр всю будівлю. Натомість я ловлю рослини. Але фокус мене дуже підводить. Мабуть час на гарячий чай! Звісно якби було тепліше ми б іще пошукали якісь таємні кутки, дикі місця. Але біжимо у кафе:)
Тепер я ще дуже хочу показати друзям старий костел і закинутий цвинтар, особливе і невідоме туристам місце... Але про це я розповім наступного разу!
