Si bajas por la costa, te encuentras el agua (muy helada, no es broma) pero el paisaje y el atardecer desde aquí son increíbles. Estuve unos días en un hostel con pared de vidrio en el salón comunitario, y la vista era íntegra hacia el lago. El patio trasero del hostel era una escalera privada hacia la costa ♥

If you go down the coast, you find the water (very cold) but the scenery and the sunset from here are incredible. I stayed a few days in a hostel with a glass wall in the community room, and the view was all the way down to the lake. The backyard of the hostel was a private stairway to the shore ♥

Muy cerca de la ciudad, a unos 20km, te encuentras con el hotel Llao Llao, y justo allí, en Puerto Pañuelo, sale el viaje que hemos planeado para hoy con mi amigo. Nos vamos hacia el lago Frías, allí el agua es directa del glaciar, se encuentra al pie de la Cordillera de los Andes y justamente esto, el agua de glaciar y los sedimentos, hacen que el agua se vea de color turquesa. La naturaleza es infinitamente sorprendente. Esto se encuentra ya de camino a Chile, por lo que mucha gente que viaja con nosotros, tiene el país vecino como destino. También por aquí pasó el revolucionario Ernesto Che Guevara, nos encontramos con una replica de su moto (La Poderosa II) al bajar de la embarcación !

Very close to the city, about 20km away, you find the Llao Llao hotel, and right there, in Puerto Pañuelo, the trip we have planned for today with my friend starts. We go to Lake Frias, there the water is direct from the glacier, it is at the foot of the Andes Mountains and just this, the glacier water and sediments, make the water look turquoise. Nature is infinitely surprising. This is already on the way to Chile, so many people who travel with us, have the neighboring country as a destination. The revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara also passed through here, we found a replica of his motorcycle (La Poderosa II) when we got off the boat!

En un bus llegas a El Bolsón, son como 130km desde Bariloche, y este es quizás el lugar más perfecto del mundo. Todo es mítico, la ciudad está bañada en clima de duendes, artesanos, bosques, y mucha naturaleza por todos lados. Tienes también miradores, refugios, cerros, y el bosque tallado. Y con otro bus, ya cambias de provincia ( de Río Negro a Chubut) y llegas a Lago Puelo, Parque Nacional Argentino. Este sitio es inmenso, creo que se puede acampar incluso, no puedes ir solo "a darle una vuelta al lago". Yo tengo que regresar antes de que anochezca, asique solo me pierdo un rato en el bosque y aprovecho para meditar. Cuando vuelvo a subir al micro ya cae la noche y falta mas de una hora para llegar, y yo solo pienso en una ducha calentita!

In a bus you get to El Bolsón, it's about 130km from Bariloche, and this is perhaps the most perfect place in the world. Everything is mythical, the city is bathed in the climate of elves, artisans, forests, and lots of nature everywhere. You also have viewpoints, shelters, hills, and the carved forest. And with another bus, you change province (from Rio Negro to Chubut) and arrive at Lago Puelo, Argentine National Park. This place is huge, I think you can even camp there, you can't just go "for a walk around the lake". I have to get back before nightfall, so I just get lost in the forest for a while and take the opportunity to meditate. When I get back on the bus it's already getting dark and it's more than an hour before we arrive, and all I can think about is a hot shower!

Este pueblo no fue fundado por ningún conquistador, adelantado, explorador o 
descubridor. Simplemente esta región solo sirvió por mucho tiempo como lugar 
de paso a las migraciones de las comunidades tsonek, trashumantes en busca de    caza y recolectores, y luego fue territorio netamente mapuche. Más tarde, con las primeras incursiones de los europeos en la región, también dio refugio 
temporario a quienes arreaban ganados vacunos y yeguarizos cruzando la 
cordillera en dirección este-oeste,y viceversa,de un litoral marítimo a otro,
produciéndose frecuentes conflictos y desavenencias con los pobladores 
mapuches.

Colonia Suiza es un poblado pequeño muy cerca del centro de la ciudad, al pie de Cerro López, y muy cerca del Lago Perito Moreno, el bus que te lleva hasta aquí hace un recorrido circular alrededor de la montaña donde se encuentra este recoveco. Aquí puedes probar el clásico curanto (una comida que se cocina bajo tierra) y pasear por el poblado, que tiene muchas antigüedades, una decoración que nos rememora a Suiza todo el tiempo, y más esculturas en madera!

Colonia Suiza is a small village very close to the center of the city, at the foot of Cerro Lopez, and very close to the Perito Moreno Lake, the bus that takes you here makes a circular route around the mountain where this nook is located. Here you can try the classic curanto (a food that is cooked underground) and stroll through the village, which has many antiques, a decoration that reminds us of Switzerland all the time, and more wood carvings!

No me queda mas que contarles otras cosas maravillosas, como que sus cafés, chocolates, cervezas, todo es delicioso. Y como yo estoy de vacaciones, me he dado los gustos.

Me toca volver a Buenos Aires. Es lunes y el siguiente viaje ya empieza en mi mente: cuándo será? a dónde iré? qué me gustaría conocer?

Pero además de pensar en el siguiente viaje con alegría, pienso en editar fotos y revivirlo, contarlo, reír y pensar siempre que cada sitio que he conocido, queda en la lista de lugares a los que regresar!

It's my turn to go back to Buenos Aires. It's Monday and the next trip is already starting in my mind: when will it be? where will I go? what would I like to see?

But besides thinking about the next trip with happiness, I think about editing photos and relive it, tell it, laugh and always think that every place I have known, remains on the list of places to return!
