Petra, which means "rock" in Greek, is an ancient city of Nabataeans carved in the rock and one of the greatest attractions of Jordan. From the 3rd century BC until the 1st century AD, Petra was the capital of the Nabataean kingdom.

The view is simply stunning. To get to the Treasury, you need to walk along the picturesque rock gorge Bab As-Sik.

Po prostu widok powala na kolana. Aby dojść do Skarbca trzeba odbyć spacer malowniczym skalnym wąwozem Bab As-Sik.

The gorge was created during the earthquake many centuries ago. The Nabataeans took advantage of it and turned this ravine into a mysterious, mystical entrance in front of the Treasury itself, ending with a surprising magical sight.

Wąwóz powstał podczas trzęsienia ziemi wiele wieków temu. Wykorzystali to Nabatejczycy i uczynili z tego wąwozu, tajemnicze, mistyczne i zakończone zaskakującym magicznym widokiem wejście przed sam Skarbiec.

The ravine is in itself a well-thought-out natural structure of a strategic and defensive nature. It was the only way into the city, and among many other gorges it was almost impossible to find the correct route.

Wąwóz jest sam w sobie przemyślaną naturalną budowlą o charakterze strategicznym i obronnym. Stanowił, bowiem jedyną drogę do miasta, a wśród wielu innych wąwozów niemal niemożliwe było odnalezienie prawidłowej trasy.

Petra was entered on the UNESCO list in 1985 and recognized as one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Entering the place where the Treasury is located is unlikely. When we walk along the ravine, suddenly a small fragment of the treasury appears in the rock crevice.

Wejście do miejsca w którym znajduje się Skarbiec jest nieprawdopodobne. Gdy spacerujemy wąwozem, nagle pojawia się niewielki fragment skarbca w skalnej szczelinie.

As we get closer to the crevice, there is more and more of it, and finally we come out into a great valley with an unbelievable view.

W miarę zbliżania się do szczeliny jest go coraz więcej, aż w końcu wychodzimy do wielkiej doliny z nieprawdopodobnym widokiem.

Legend has it that the Pharaoh's treasure was placed on the top, while the facts confirm that the treasury was the tomb of one of the Nabataean kings.

Legenda głosi, że na szczycie złożono skarb faraona, natomiast fakty potwierdzają, że skarbiec był grobowcem jednego z Nabatyjskich króli.

The vault is majestic when viewed from below, but there is also an option to view it from above.

Skarbiec widziany z dołu jest majestatyczny, ale jest jeszcze opcja oglądania z góry.

It is enough to walk to the top of the mountain along the trail to reach the viewpoint from which there is a breathtaking view.

The most magnificent of the tombs is the Urn Tomb. which has a beautiful 26-meter facade with four columns. The interiors of the tombs are empty and no human remains have ever been found.

Najokazalszy z grobowców to Grobowiec Urny. który posiada przepiękną 26-metrową fasadę z czterema kolumnami. Wnętrza grobowców są puste i nigdy nie znaleziono w nich ludzkich szczątków.
