Hola mi gente de Movies & TV Shows hoy les comparto una película que aunque no es una obra maestra, debemos destacar dos cosas uno la increíble actuación de parte de su protagonista y dos que nos sensibiliza para entender la situación del personaje principal en quien fue inspirada esta historia, que fue un hecho de la vida real. Se trata de MONSTER un film que retrata la dura vida de una mujer estadounidense que se convirtió en una asesina en serie hace muchos años.
Hello my people of Movies & TV Shows today I share with you a movie that although it is not a masterpiece, we must highlight two things one the incredible performance of its protagonist and two that sensitizes us to understand the situation of the main character on whom this story was inspired, which was a real life event. MONSTER is a film that portrays the hard life of an American woman who became a serial killer many years ago.
Quiero mencionar que antes de yo ver esta película, ya había visto varios documentales sobre la vida de Aileen Wuornos y sin duda esto me permitió conocer un poco más sobre su vida y entender el porque o las razones de todos sus comportamientos, ojo no soy psicóloga, pero siento que cuando lees sobre estos temas del comportamiento humano, esto te permite tener una vista más amplia para entender el trasfondo de los actos cometidos aunque no tengan justificación, y conocer sobre la vida de Aileen me permitió entender que en la película no se enfocan en esa parte psicológica que era tan importante resaltar, sino que se enfocan más en la relación de las chicas.
I want to mention that before I saw this movie, I had already seen several documentaries about the life of Aileen Wuornos and without a doubt this allowed me to know a little more about her life and understand why or the reasons for all her behaviors, I am not a psychologist, but I feel that when you read about these issues of human behavior, this allows you to have a broader view to understand the background of the acts committed even if they have no justification, and knowing about Aileen's life allowed me to understand that in the movie they do not focus on that psychological part that was so important to highlight, but they focus more on the relationship of the girls.
Nuestra actriz principal y que interpreta a Aileen Wuornos es la hermosa y talentosa Charlize Theron papel con el cuál sorprendió a todos y salió de ese estándar de belleza en la cual estábamos acostumbrados a verla, lo que le amerito muchos premios y hasta un Oscar por grandiosa interpretación, la verdad que tanto su transformación como su interpretación fue impresionante, y por eso es importante ver algo del documental para entender la calidad actoral de su trabajo, la primera vez que me entere sobre su personaje sin antes saber la historia completa fue en el canal ID Investigation, luego vi los documentales y por ultimo termine viendo la película, digo todo esto primero porque es una historia que amerita conocer desde principio a fin la triste vida de Aileen Wuornos, a pesar de las cosas malas que hizo es importante resaltar muchas cosas y no solo caer en un juicio injusto.
Our main actress who plays Aileen Wuornos is the beautiful and talented Charlize Theron, a role with which she surprised everyone and went out of that standard of beauty in which we were used to see her, which earned her many awards and even an Oscar for great interpretation, the truth is that both her transformation and her interpretation was impressive, and that is why it is important to see some of the documentary to understand the acting quality of her work, the first time I found out about her character without knowing the whole story was in the ID Investigation channel, then I saw the documentaries and finally I ended up watching the movie, I say all this first because it is a story that deserves to know from beginning to end the sad life of Aileen Wuornos, despite the bad things she did it is important to highlight many things and not just fall into an unfair judgment.

En esta película nos muestran la vida de Aileen Wuornos en un momento critico de su vida, era una prostituta que no tenia sueños ni esperanza de vida, no creía en los hombres por tantos malos momentos que vivió desde sus 13 años donde comenzó a prostituirse y de donde estaba a punto de suicidarse cuando conoció a una chica, Shelby interpretada por Cristina Ricci, quien era lesbiana y estaba viviendo en ese momento con sus tíos, ya que su padre no aceptaba su preferencia sexual y esperaba que se arrepintiera de esa decisión en su vida, pues no estaban de acuerdo.
In this film we are shown the life of Aileen Wuornos in a critical moment of her life, she was a prostitute who had no dreams or hope for life, she did not believe in men for so many bad moments she lived since she was 13 years old where she began to prostitute herself and where she was about to commit suicide when she met a girl, Shelby played by Cristina Ricci, who was a lesbian and was living at that time with her aunt and uncle, since her father did not accept her sexual preference and expected her to regret that decision in her life, as they did not agree.
Aunque Aileen no era lesbiana, le tomo cariño a Shelby y comenzó una relación con ella ya que estaba dispuesta a entregarle todo su amor y comenzar una nueva vida, recordemos que Aileen no creía en los hombres y en Shelby encontró algo que no había tenido jamás, por lo que decide cambiar y tomar mejores decisiones en su vida, pero en el camino veremos lo difícil y complicado que se le hace reencaminar su vida cuando lo único que ha sido desde niña es una prostituta.
Although Aileen was not a lesbian, she became fond of Shelby and began a relationship with her because she was willing to give her all her love and start a new life, remember that Aileen did not believe in men and in Shelby she found something she had never had before, so she decides to change and make better decisions in her life, but along the way we will see how difficult and complicated it is to redirect her life when the only thing she has been since she was a child is a prostitute.
En el avance de la película se muestra como se generaron todos los asesinatos que cometió, pero más que todo se retrata la relación que tuvieron estas dos mujeres, y como todo se le fue saliendo de las manos.
The movie trailer shows how all the murders he committed were generated, but more than anything else, it portrays the relationship these two women had, and how everything got out of hand.

Ahora les voy a dar una opinión personal muy amplia, basada en todo lo que se hasta ahora de esta mujer, lo que no me gusto de la película es que no cae en esa parte psicológica del personaje real, creo que al espectador le va gustar saber que fue lo que realmente motivo a Aileen a cometer estos terribles actos, porque sin duda hay bastante material para plasmarlo en pantalla.
Now I am going to give you a very broad personal opinion, based on everything I know so far about this woman, what I did not like about the film is that it does not fall into the psychological part of the real character, I think the viewer will like to know what really motivated Aileen to commit these terrible acts, because there is certainly enough material to capture it on screen.
No quería caer en Spoiler, pero cuando ves el documental completo te enteras de toda su vida de principio a fin y la película sería como una ayuda visual para poder imaginar como se sentía esta persona en cada uno de esos momentos complejos y sensibilizar un poco su historia para no caer en un juicio sesgado, por lo tanto, solo se nos muestra a una mujer queriendo cambiar de vida, que evidentemente tiene problemas psicológicos y emocionales causados por la cruel vida que vivió desde niña y no sabe como salir adelante pero hace su mejor esfuerzo.
I didn't want to fall into Spoiler, but when you watch the full documentary you learn about her whole life from beginning to end and the film would be like a visual aid to be able to imagine how this person felt in each of those complex moments and sensitize a little her story to not fall into a biased judgment, therefore, we are only shown a woman wanting to change her life, who obviously has psychological and emotional problems caused by the cruel life she lived from childhood and does not know how to get ahead but she does her best.
Aileen fue una niña abandonada por su madre y por su padre, quienes eran drogadictos y a su padre lo habían metido en la cárcel, lo poco que recuerdo fue que vivió con sus abuelos y desde niña su abuelo abuso de ella, y luego fue echada de la casa de sus abuelos porque salió embarazada ya que fue violada por un grupo de chicos que vivían cerca de su residencia, esto fue contado por su mejor amiga de la infancia años después.
Aileen was a child abandoned by her mother and father, who were drug addicts and her father had been put in jail, the little I remember was that she lived with her grandparents and as a child her grandfather abused her, and then she was kicked out of her grandparents' house because she got pregnant and was raped by a group of boys who lived near her residence, this was told by her best childhood friend years later.
Esto hizo que Aileen diera a su hijo en adopción porque no estaba capacitada para cuidarlo y luego comienza a prostituirse para poder sobrevivir, y es algo que desde un inicio te hace entender su repudio y desprecio hacia los hombres, ella se caso pero con el tiempo se divorcio y ejercía la prostitución como forma de sustento porque era lo único que sabia hacer, algo que también retratan en la película cuando decide ir a buscar trabajo por su cuenta y lo dura que fue la gente con ella por no tener estudios universitarios.
This made Aileen give up her son for adoption because she was not able to take care of him and then she starts to prostitute herself to survive, and it is something that from the beginning makes you understand her repudiation and contempt towards men, she got married but eventually got divorced and prostituted as a way of support because it was the only thing she knew how to do, something that is also portrayed in the film when she decides to go to look for work on her own and how hard people were with her for not having a college education.
Aileen conto haber sido abusaba muchas veces por diferentes hombres, hasta que un día uno de ellos se puso violento con ella y tenia miedo de que acabara con su vida ya que el hombre tenia un arma, con la cual ella comete su primer asesinato, pero fue en ese momento cuando conoce a Shelby y decide cambiar, pero el error fue que al querer hacer ese cambio no recibió la recepción que ella esperaba, nadie le brindo ese apoyo y empleo que tanto esperaba para iniciar una nueva vida, además que le había pedido a Shelby que se fuera a vivir con ella y debia mantener su nuevo hogar.
Aileen told of having been abused many times by different men, until one day one of them became violent with her and she was afraid that he would end her life because the man had a gun, with which she committed her first murder, but it was at that moment when she met Shelby and decided to change, But the mistake was that when she wanted to make that change she did not receive the reception she expected, no one gave her the support and employment she was waiting for to start a new life, besides she had asked Shelby to move in with her and she had to keep her new home.
Sin más opciones para ella, esto la arrastro otra vez a la prostitución ya que no sabia hacer otra cosa, pero desde ese primer crimen las cosas comenzaron a tornarse oscuras para Aileen porque fue cuando inicio con la serie de asesinatos, todos siendo hombres con quienes ella debia estar para ganarse el dinero.
With no other options for her, this dragged her back into prostitution since she didn't know how to do anything else, but from that first crime things started to turn dark for Aileen because that's when she started the series of murders, all of them being men she had to be with to earn money.
En lo personal para mi es una historia muy triste de ver, porque Aileen cuenta que lo único que ella quería era ser amada, ya que nunca tuvo el amor de su madre, ni de su padre, mucho menos de sus abuelos y simplemente fue abandonada a su suerte, nunca tuvo el amor sincero de alguien y el trabajo que desafortunadamente ejercía no es un lugar para encontrar el amor, ya que todos la trataban mal y como un simple objeto sexual.
Personally for me it is a very sad story to see, because Aileen tells that the only thing she wanted was to be loved, since she never had the love of her mother, nor her father, much less her grandparents and she was simply abandoned to her fate, she never had the sincere love of someone and the work that unfortunately was not a place to find love, since everyone treated her badly and as a simple sexual object.
El final de Aileen es bastante predecible, pues fue capturada y sentenciada a muerte, y se hace evidente en el juicio y en las entrevistas que le realizaron que ella actuó siempre en defensa propia, eso no lo vamos a saber a ciencia cierta, solo ella sabía la verdad, pero por mi parte le doy el beneficio de la duda, al conocer su trágica historia y como fue su infancia llena de maltratos y abusos, lo cuál me hace pensar que es un motivo real que daña tu psiquis y tu salud emocional y mental, ¿Por qué si pasas toda una vida siendo abusada y jamás querida que esperanzas puedes tener de la vida y que confianza puedes desarrollar en las personas?
The end of Aileen is quite predictable, as she was captured and sentenced to death, and it is evident in the trial and in the interviews that were conducted that she always acted in self-defense, that we will not know for sure, only she knew the truth, but for my part I give her the benefit of the doubt, knowing her tragic story and how was her childhood full of mistreatment and abuse, which makes me think that it is a real reason that damages your psyche and your emotional and mental health, why if you spend a lifetime being abused and never loved, what hope can you have of life and what confidence can you develop in people?
Pero sin duda la historia da mucho más para contar, si se hubieran enfocado en esa parte emocional y psicológica de este caso, seguramente la película hubiera sido mucho más exitosa porque la verdad estuvo carente de muchas cosas, recuerdo que Aileen comento que "ella debía estar presa, porque ya era un peligro para la sociedad, sin duda volvería a asesinar, porque su mente ya estaba destruida", y eso para mi me parecio muy triste y cruel, ¿Por qué que culpa tuvo ella de que su vida fuera tan trágica y cruel? definitivamente es una historia que nos muestra y nos permite sentir esa empatía por Aileen y su trágica vida donde no tuvo la oportunidad de ser feliz y de tener un nuevo comienzo.
But certainly the story gives much more to tell, if they had focused on the emotional and psychological part of this case, surely the film would have been much more successful because the truth was lacking in many things, I remember that Aileen commented that "she should be in prison, because she was already a danger to society, no doubt she would kill again, because her mind was already destroyed", and that to me seemed very sad and cruel, why was she to blame for her life to be so tragic and cruel? It is definitely a story that shows us and allows us to feel that empathy for Aileen and her tragic life where she did not have the opportunity to be happy and have a new beginning.
