A few weeks ago I finished watching Stranger Things, I really consider it a pretty impressive production, almost like a movie, the level of special effects in these two seasons (although it is much more noticeable in the third) are completely crazy, you can tell that Netflix gives a huge amount of money to this work, I was crazy, I had never seen a series with so much quality in this section, although perhaps it is because I have not seen many series and that causes me to be easily impressed. Although the best of all, are the characters and their evolution, during the course of the seasons we will see how they all grow, making you get quite fond of them, an aspect that the series achieves in a spectacular way. The growth of the characters is more noticeable in the third season, as it is more years apart than season 1 and 2. The genres of the series change quite a lot during the last two seasons, the mystery diminishes and the action dominates the plot more, but what still prevails is science fiction. So without further ado, I'm going to tell you what for me is the best and worst of these two seasons:

Hace unas semanas terminé de ver Stranger Things, de verdad que la considero una producción bastante impresionante, casi de película, el nivel de los efectos especiales en estas dos temporadas (aunque se nota muchísimo más en la tercera) son una completa locura, se nota que Netflix le otorga una enorme cantidad de dinero a esta obra, quedé fue loco, nunca había visto una serie con tanta calidad en este apartado, aunque quizás es porque no he visto muchas series y eso causa que me impresione fácilmente. Aunque lo mejor de todo, son los personajes y su evolución, durante el transcurso de las temporadas veremos cómo todos crecen, haciendo que les agarres bastante cariño, aspecto que la serie logra de forma espectacular. El crecer de los personajes se nota más en la tercera temporada, ya que tiene más años de diferencia que la 1 y la 2. Los géneros de la serie cambian bastante durante las dos últimas temporadas, el misterio disminuye y la acción domina más la trama, pero lo que sigue prevaleciendo es la ciencia ficción. Así que sin más dilación, les voy a contar lo que para mí es lo mejor y peor de éstas dos temporadas:

Steve Harrington

First I want to specify my favourite character above all others, which is undoubtedly Steve Harrington, of all the characters we find in the series is the most human, in addition to having a very marked evolution and that stands out from the others. He starts out as one of those high school bullies who are popular for being cute, while having the "perfect" girl at his feet. Most would have given this character up for dead from the first season, but he ends up being one of the kindest and bravest characters, who will always fight to keep his friends safe, knowing that he will most likely lose the fight, which is why most of the time he gets passed around or gets beaten up. From having a high status, wanting to pretend to be something he is not, he ends up being a loser who sells ice cream in a shopping mall because he couldn't get into university, plus now he has no luck at all in love, when before he had it very easy. It can be said without any objection that he is practically the character who suffers the most throughout the series, but at the same time he finds himself, discovering who he really is, and in the process he wins over his best friend, who is one of the main children, thus taking away the importance of what others think of him. He is the nanny who, on several occasions, dresses up as a hero.

Primero quiero especificar mi personaje favorito por encima de todos los demás, el cual sin lugar a dudas es Steve Harrington, de todos los personajes que encontramos en la serie es el más humano, además de contar con una evolución muy marcada y que destaca sobre los demás. Comienza siendo de esos abusivos del instituto que son populares por ser lindos, teniendo a su vez, la chica "perfecta" a sus pies. La mayoría hubiera dado a este personaje por muerto desde la primera temporada, pero termina siendo unos de los personajes más bondadosos y valientes, el cual siempre luchará para mantener a salvo a sus amigos, sabiendo que muy probablemente perderá la pelea, razón por la cual la mayoría del tiempo se la pasa o termina golpeado. De tener un estatus alto, queriendo aparentar algo que no es, termina siendo un fracasado que vende helados en un centro comercial por no haber podido entrar en la universidad, además ahora no tiene nada de suerte en el amor, cuando antes lo tenía muy fácil. Se puede afirmar sin ninguna objeción, que prácticamente es el personaje que más sufre durante toda la serie, pero que a su vez se encuentra a sí mismo, descubriendo quien realmente es, ganando así en el proceso a el que será su mejor amigo, el cual es uno de los niños protagonistas, quitándole así importancia a lo que los demás piensen de él. Es la niñera que durante varias ocasiones, se viste de héroe.

The creators didn't know what to do with Eleven?

The worst thing you will see during the entire second season is when Eleven appears, everything that happens when she is on screen is extremely tedious and without any relevance, she doesn't get to process or close a conflict when she already has two more, she fights with her adoptive father the Sheriff, she discovers the existence of her mother to then proceed to discover the existence of a lost sister who has powers just like her. Everything from one moment to the next, to end in the purest nothingness, he meets his mother, leaves her and never sees her again, he meets his sister, spends some time with her and leaves her, the only conflict that is resolved at the end is the father-daughter fight he had with Hopper. And the introduction of Eleven's sister, Eight, is so unnecessary that in the third season there is no mention of her at all, not even the slightest reference to her. Leading us to the other big problem of the series, which is that it doesn't explain anything. Leaving us to wonder if there are more people with powers, if they are still alive or dead. Nothing is known about the mother either, so all these events end up being pure tedious filler, not to mention that they dedicate an entire chapter to Eleven's sister, which ends up being a waste. I hope the next seasons do something about this, because it's a pretty big hole they're leaving.

Lo peor que verán durante toda la segunda temporada es cuando aparece Once, todo lo que ocurre cuando se muestra en pantalla es sumamente tedioso y sin relevancia alguna, no llega a procesar o cerrar un conflicto cuando ya tiene dos más, se pelea con su papá adoptivo el Sheriff, descubre la existencia de su madre para luego proceder a descubrir la existencia de una hermana pérdida que tiene poderes al igual que ella. Todo de un momento para otro, para terminar en la más pura nada, se encuentra con su mamá, la deja y no la ve más, se encuentra con su hermana, dura un rato con ella y la deja, el único conflicto que se llega a resolver al final es la pelea de padre e hija que tuvo con Hopper. Y es que la introducción de la hermana de Once, Ocho es tan innecesaria que en la tercera temporada no se menciona nada de ella, no se le hace ni la más mínima referencia. Llevándonos al otro gran problema de la serie, que es que no explica nada. Dejándonos con la duda de si existen más personas con poderes, si siguen vivos o murieron. De la madre tampoco se sabe más nada, por lo que todos esos acontecimientos terminan siendo puro relleno tedioso, sin mencionar que le dedican un capítulo entero a la hermana de Once que termina siendo un desperdicio. Espero que las próximas temporadas hagan algo al respecto con esto, porque es un agujero bastante grande el que están dejando.

I mentioned this before in my review of the first season, I thought that with the passing of the seasons they would clear some things up but no. I thought they would. Strange things keep happening for no reason, new enemies come out for no reason, it's as if everything was written for convenience in order to have a new plot. Maybe I'm complaining about this and in reality this is what gives the magic to the series, that things happen without any apparent sense, but I'm not convinced, there are still too many holes to fill. I read somewhere that in Season 4 they're going to talk more about the past, we'll see what happens and if they really finally clarify a few things, which I hope they do and that they don't use that to generate more crazy events. Let's hope that for once they stop with the superficial explanations and finally say why all this is happening, because it looks like they're going to expand the eccentricities outside of Hawkins. Just to get an answer as to what happened to Eleven's sister and if there are more people with powers, whether they are dead or alive, is good enough for me.

Esto lo mencioné antes en mi reseña de la primera temporada, pensé que con el pasar de las temporadas aclararían algunas cosas pero no. Siguen pasando cosas extrañas sin razón, salen enemigos nuevos sin razón, es como si todo estuviera escrito a conveniencia para tener una nueva trama. Quizás yo me esté quejando por esto y en realidad esto sea lo que le da la magia a la serie, que sucedan cosas sin ningún sentido aparente, pero a mí no me convence, siguen habían demasiados agujeros que llenar. Leí por ahí que en la Temporada 4 van a hablar más sobre el pasado, veremos qué acontece y si de verdad por fin aclaran unas cuantas cosas, que espero que sí y que no usen eso para generar más acontecimientos locos. Esperemos que por alguna vez dejen las explicaciones superficiales y digan de una vez por qué todo esto ocurre, porque parece que van a expandir las excentricidades hasta afuera de Hawkins. Solo con que me respondan qué pasó con la hermana de Once y si hay más gente con poderes, si están muertos o vivos, me conformo.
