A shill and a miss

I have learned a lot about crypto over the last 4 years, and on HIVE at least I have also gotten to know a network of people, good people, who are doing good projects. Within this ecosystem then, I feel experienced, I know stuff and I've done stuff. Its all on the chain, anyone can see my results.

Well, that's if you know how to look at HIVE chain data.

I caught a tweet on my feed and I thought, wow, what a perfect chance to shill. Let's see what happens.

Here was the original tweet:

Well well well, I am doing just that - I have bought several pieces of land already. In fact, I am sharing one of them in token form for anyone who wants to get involved.

Here's my shill:

The response surprised me, not that I wasn't expecting the possibility of pushback, but just the way it was phrased: "You're not a Bitcoiner". That really took me aback. I have bitcoin. I buy and sell bitcoin. How am I not a bitcoiner?

Also I am not sure what part of the world people are using 'ser' instead of 'sir' or 'hey asshole'.

I asked about the rules of the game:

Aparently you need to have ONLY bitcoin. These bitcoiners really don't like having friends I guess. Natural allies who also have bitcoins, we don't count.

There are a lot of shitcoins out there, but it still surprises me that someone might take the leap into Bitcoin and believe wholeheartedly in it, but not think there is any value in iterating or experimenting with the same tech in new ways. I personally find more than one crypto interesting, and HIVE one of the most interesting and useable blockchains out there.

So now I'm just trying to back out gracefully. Our project really isn't a crypto other than the fact we are using a token. We are actually doing a pretty regular old security, put in money, build hotel, share money from hotel. Its a stock, just that these new technologies lets us issue stocks as tokens.

So okay, have a nice day Sir/Ser.

Ah this negative nancy. While again true that scams happen all the time, its like this guy thinks that the whole world is made up of scams and never anybody ever did anything positive. Except Satoshi Nakamoto I guess.

Anyways, this is just more of a glass half full, half empty bit. Good things do happen once in a while!

Then I went to bed.

Then I woke up in the morning.

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️

Well, what more can I do. I certainly don't think I am a scammer. And I definitely don't want anyone who thinks I am a scammer to buy my tokens. Its a self-selecting subset of people that might want to get involved in this, I can understand that.

But I definitely need work on my twitter game.....
