The Silver Kookaburra is a silver bullion coin of Australia. It is produced by the Perth Mint. Unlike the American Silver Eagle coins, the Silver Kookaburra coins are not trade-able on the Bullion market; thus, they hold less liquidity than some other bullion coins on the market.^Source

The kingfisher bird species design varies each year since 1990. This remain to be a selling point of the Kookaburra coins. Also, the the coins are sold for a higher premium than other bullion coins due to their limited mintage.
