What's more exciting than visiting one of your favorite places after a busy day.
Just a little background on what happened last weekend, we had a leadership training at La Vidad Farm Resort at Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines wherein we enjoyed not just the venue, but the activities given during the training.
Here are some of the photos taken of the venue and the activities last Saturday:
I had a great time during the training because the participants were so active and attentive throughout the session. I did enjoy hanging out with them as well. I could say that the event was successful and the participants went home with big smiles on their faces.
As the seminar ended last Sunday around 9 in the morning, we went home safely. But I never stayed home for long as we were called by the decoration committee head in our school to come to school to start decorating the stage. The moving up and graduation ceremonies will be on the next day which is Monday, so we sacrificed our weekend to prepare for the event. Even if I was still feeling tired at that time, I went to school and helped.
When I arrived at school, we were tasked to prepare the balloons. I could say that it's not an easy task since we only have a few pumps for the balloons, but we need to prepare 100 balloons I guess. So we have no choice but to do what task was given to us.
Finally, even though we were struggling on preparing them all, we were able to finish preparing all the balloons.
After we finished our role as decorators, my fellow Junior High School teachers decided to go to Camp Phillips, Bukidnon to unwind a bit. The place was near our school, around 5 minutes when riding a public transportation. As we reached the place, I instantly took some photos of the big pineapple and the sign of welcome of Camp Phillips.
By the way, Camp Phillips is one of the homes of the workers of Del Monte company. If you are not familiar with it, Del Monte company is a producer of catsup, vinegar, and a lot more, that's why the surrounding places in the vicinity have pineapple fields. The pineapple plantation is also near the place.
Big Pineapple! I could still remember back when I was young, I get so amazed every time I see it. I would instantly tell my mother to go to the big pineapple and hug it. I was even pranked by my brother that there's a real pineapple on the inside. Now that I'm older I realized that I was so naive indeed back then. But overall, I do love this big pineapple so much.
Camp Phillips is like the usual community, there are houses, fields, schools, churches, and a lot more. It's a wonderful and conducive community as it is surrounded by many trees around.
After stepping on the place again last Sunday, I could say that I am still amazed at its beauty and I will forever be thankful that the place is so near to our workplace.
Here are some snaps around Camp Phillips:
1. The Houses and Street Landmarks
We have here the view of the houses around the place and some landmarks per streets. There are still other landmarks around, but I was only able to capture two of them.
2. The Field and Courts
Camp Phillips has a wide field wherein a lot of sports can be done such as soccer, track and field, basketball, tennis, and a lot more. It's so pleasing as well on the eyes because it's full of greens.
3. Church
There's also a church around the community, it's located beside the private school, but I wasn't able to take a photo of the school around.
Others
I wasn't able to take photos of some parts of the camp, but the things above are some of the great things to find around the area. Here are other areas found inside.
It's indeed a weekend well-spent! I had a productive day last Saturday, been busy doing school stuff on a Sunday, and ended the weekend with a wonderful view of Camp Phillips where I was able to unwind. What an amazing feeling indeed.
Camp Phillips, you are so beautiful in my eyes.
