I discovered it right from my elementary school days. I derive fulfilment in teaching. Those days, teaching other students whatever I understood better made such topic internalised. I love teaching.

After my secondary education, I proceeded to University where I continued in this line. I did a one year remedial programme before proceeding to the first year of my course of study. While in the remedial programme, I taught my colleagues effortlessly especially Mathematics and Chemistry. I did so to the extent that whenever a topic is taught and I didn't understand, I would go extra miles to study it and understand in preparation for other mates of mine that would come for further explanations.

When I got admission into year of the degree programme, I volunteered to teach new remedial intakes who were members of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria. The society is an umbrella body of Muslim Students in the University. The society had a tutorial structure in place for all interested students irrespective of their religious belief where senior students took junior ones through some complex courses. Despite that my mates were being taught some of the complex courses by higher level colleagues, I forfeited benefiting in the classes and instead, I was teaching the remedial students.

I love teaching so much that I look out for opportunities to teach. The act of mine which I can call hobby made me gain the confidence of many on campus. In my year four, I was made the academic committee chairman of MSSN in the University. I was saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the smooth running of the tutorials at all level. I was given a certificate in recognition of my service.

Throughout these years, I was training to become a professional in oil and gas. I never had the intention of becoming a teacher though I love teaching. After graduating from school and partaking in one year national service, I found myself in teaching because my attempts to get job with oil and gas companies weren't successful.

I started my teaching career in a secondary school where I taught Chemistry and Additional Mathematics. I so much dedicated my time to the job that my first year in teaching recorded a 100% performance of my final year students in the secondary school leaving certificate examination. I won the award of best teacher as a result.

I was later hired by another school where I taught Mathematics. I was also engaged by other parents to teach their wards online for some hours after my day job. Teaching is a job that brings tranquility to my soul when in it. The highest motivation is the regular positive feedbacks from the students with their improved performances.

Right now, I teach in Africa's foremost military University, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Nigeria. I teach Mathematics to the elementary school pupils, setting their foundations for further studies for secondary school, University and military trainings. It remains a joy for me having the opportunity to impact knowledge. I love teaching Mathematics and Chemistry both in a physical class settings and online.
