Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Europe and has a number of cultural attractions. I and my wife have lived here for the last 3 years. Because I and my wife are both very fond of roaming every beautiful place, due to the excessive arrival of tourists to this place, both of us had a lot of fun roaming around.

My wife, Charlotte, is beautiful, like a fairy. We both are from different countries. Charlotte was an Australian resident. She had absolutely no knowledge of history, especially of American history, which was negligible.

Just a few days ago, she took part in the competition for the Miss Universe pageant in Paris. During the competition, she got a chance to meet many girls who had come from the United States of America.
One of them had come from Chicago. That girl told Charlotte that the great St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in her city in the month of March, which is one of the most well-known celebrations in the world.

Preparations for this ceremony are done many days in advance. Charlotte was very impressed by all these things, and after returning from the Miss Universe pageant, she insisted on me going to this function.

I explained a lot to her that just now we have passed through a bad disease called COVID-19. It would not be right to go anywhere, but Charlotte was determined.

I too did not have much information about the celebrations on St. Patrick's Day, so I asked Charlotte what other information she had learned about this celebration.

Charlotte was redy to answer all questions with full preparation. Her friend had given her all the information about the great St. Patricks. She started telling me this time. It will celebrate the ceremony on March 12–17, 2022. Many tourists from all over the country and abroad will come to participate in this ceremony.
To celebrate this ceremony, the Chicago River will be painted green. Tourists from all over the world will wear green clothes and green caps.

Green balloons, posters, banners, etc., will be put up all around the streets. The most surprising thing is that the special green beer will also be prepared for the ceremony.

Various games will be played at this ceremony. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us, one we would remember for the rest of our lives.

Charlotte further said that St. Patrick was born in Britain at the end of the fourth century. Some people took him to Ireland at the age of 16, but somehow he came back to his country after escaping from there.

After coming his country, he started converting Irish people to Christianity. During his lifetime, Great St. Patrick established many schools, monasteries, churches, etc.

The most special thing is that to celebrate his birth and to dye the river of Chicago, an institution, namely Journeyman Plumbers Local Union 130, paints the river located in the city of Chicago.

This organization makes a lot of preparations to paint the river and almost paints it green. They are spending $150 per minute to dye this river.These people use many boats to do this work, and in a few hours, they paint the river green.

Knowing all these things from my wife, I also become curious to attend the ceremony. And I immediately called my travel agent and asked to book air tickets and to make other travel arrangements.

I was curious to know about the event as Charlotte told me so much. I checked with the agent who arranged my travel.

He told me that this program would start on March 12th. The St. Patrick's Day Parade, which departs from Columbus Drive between Volvo Drive and Mona Drive, is an unforgettable centrepiece of St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Colourful floats, big flags, Irish step dance and bagpiper music are all enjoyed.

Green-colored dresses are worn to participate in this parade. You will enjoy seeing city painted in green. In the evening, you can go to a nice restaurant to have a meal and enjoy fine drinks.

The next day, on March 13th, special events for the Irish community will be enjoyed. After this ceremony, dinner includes cheesecakes, green beer, and wine soda. Enjoy the dancing, the beautiful dancers, and the high-quality music.After enjoying all of this, you can also visit the Irish American Center, where you can visit the library, art gallery, and museum to learn more about it. I became very happy to know all this.

We both reached Chicago to enjoy the program, and now we are waiting for the dates when it all starts.
