Jigz was consoling Jenny by placing his hands on her face, as she was weeping hardly due the calamity in which they were stucked. Actually they were out with their three kids, and Rocky( pet dog) to visit Murree, to see the snowfall, but due to the excessive amount of snowfall, all the roads were blocked, and all the tourists were forced to stay in their cars till the next morning.
"See, there is a snow everywhere, and no one is arriving for help...I am depressed. What would happen if no one arrived to save us." Said Jenny.
Jigz: "Oh my lovely wife'...don't worry, we are not here alone ...see...so many people are also here with us, and I am sure soon the rescue will arrive to save us."
"I hope so"..said Jenny
It was hard for them to stay in Car for whole night with their three kids, as they were already there for 18th hours. So Jigz decided get a room for night in a nearby hotel. He came out of his car, and locked it, and walked towards the hotel. But to his amaze the rent they were charging was 3 percent above the one they usually charge. They were extracting the money from the people by taking the advantage of their hard time.
Jigz tried hard to convince them, but they were not agreed at the less amount, so he came back to his car, and decided to spend their night in the car. They were already short out of money, and food, so they decided wait in the car for the rescue. But suddenly a storm of snowfall began again, and this time with more intensity.
"Jigz...See the snow around our car...Jigz, It's too much. I am not sure if we would be able to survive.." said Jenny
Jigz opened the glass of window, and screamed..!
"Help...help....help...please help"
The same kind of cries were also coming from other vehicles around, although the rescue arrived, but it was not on their side, so no was arrived to them yet. They were clearing the path from the entrance.
Their kids were already crying to hear the noises due to the strong wind and snowfall. Jenny was also about to loss the hope, but Jigz was trying to calm them. After half an hour the storm was at rest again, but it was already midnight, and they were sleepy too, so they decided to have some sleep.
"Jigz....Our kids are already slept, but It's too much cold here....Turn on the heater, so they can sleep peacefully, and we can also have some rest.." said Jenny
Jigz: "I am going to do this already...please pass me some water.."
He drank water, and turned on the heater, and they both were set to have some sleep. Their negligence was that they turned on the heater, and closed all the windows of their vehicles, and never let any way for Carbon monoxide to get out from the Car. Actually this gas is harmful for humans, as it deprives the body from oxygen. But they never knew the consequences their little mistake can lead too.
They both were slept, but Rocky was still awake, he was guarding his owner and his family. After half an hour, there was something unusual in the Car, it was great difficulty in breathing oxygen. Jenny was in the position of half consciousness, she was unable to utter words, and was breathing with great difficulty. She utter some words barely,
"Jighhhzzz....jigz...water...water.....help"
But jigz and his two kids were completely unconscious, it was only Jenny and Rocky were little awake. Seeing the plight of his Owner, Rocky was also depressed, as his moves were indicating his restlessness. He tried to awaken Jigz by tapping on his face, but jigz was completely unconscious. Jenny was also unconscious after 5 minutes, Rocky did his best to awake them, but there was no hope left for their survival, as they were losing the battle of life.
Rocky started to tap on the window hardly, he tried to break any glass or open its door to get out. Finally, he succeeded to break the side window glass, which also hurt his ankle, but this little hole let the oxygen to replaced with poisonous gas, which was good for the family inside the car. About half an hour later, finally the rescue team arrived, and they transferred the patients to hospital, where they were in their senses after few minutes.
It was the Rocky who was unlikely hero for the jigz family, otherwise they would have lost their lives in a car due to the lack of oxygen.
