The ink well fiction/ prompt#42. season of light.

Mr B will always complain of low sales

just because the way he expects it to happen is not what he is seeing.

Why is there no rush, why are people not coming here to get their PMS( premium motor spirit)?

"There is always joy in the morning as sorrow may only last for the night."

That quote tells the significance of light to everything.

He always comes to the forecourt to observe the area to see how well the salesperson is attending to customers just to be able to figure out the problem.

But it seems everything seems to be going just as expected.

But again he asked why they were not coming?

In due time and season, they will surely come then you will see the bright side of this business. The response comes again.

It means the season when there will be light sales will also experience a change bringing the bright side of it into reality.

Mr B thought to himself and then came up with a great idea.

He said why don't we give out what will attract people to come and patronize us.

So he said since we are in the season of Christmas why not give out decorative colours displaying the brightness of the season.

With immediate action, he called the decorators to do that and he was amused at the bright colour they gave out.

And in no time, just like sugar attracts ants the light began to call the attention of people and the sales were boosted from 10,000 litres per day to 45,000 litres which is even more than the target given to Mr B the excitement on Mr B's face could tell it all that the light has indeed prevailed.

But will the light last even when the Yuletide season is over?

Someone asked Mr B.

The answer was yes, as long as the sales will keep up to the target.

As far as I am concerned there is no season the light will continue to remain so the customers will also remain.
