The early morning cool breeze filled the Wipeson City. Dr Michael walked fast to go back to his house, inside was warm.
He woke up early and decided to go for early morning walk with his dog.
On there way home they met Mr Bob.
Mr Bob is a good friend to Dr Michael, they graduated from the same university. Mr Bob grade was lower than Dr Michael's own. He didn't further his education, he made do with his Bsc.
Dr Michael on the other hand was brilliant and smart. He proceeded with his master's degree program and PhD. Becoming a professor in Biochemistry.
When Mr Bob saw Dr Michael, he advised him to accept his daughter home.
He pleaded him to swallow his pride and talk to his daughter, telling him the importance of his daughter in his life now that he is aged.
Dr Michael nodded his head in agreement.
When Mr Bob left to get bread in the bakery, Dr Michael mocked him in his back.
"you're not even intelligent, he is not my class" Dr Michael said to himself.
He wondered what gave Mr Bob the courage to give him advice.
He started blaming life for making him cross path with Mr Bob that beautiful morning.
"is the cold breeze not enough punishment?" he lamented.
He walked fast, praying in his heart for him not to met another person that is not in his league.
"gosh, I walk with my class" he said angrily.
With anger, he quickly entered his house and locked his gate forgetting to carry what he ordered.
He prepared his breakfast before remembering the goods outside.
Weeks passed with Mr Bob not seeing any change in his friend's life. He bombed into Liliane Dr Michael's daughter on his way to his convenience store.
He calmly asked Liliane in a worried tone, if the misunderstanding between her and his friends (Dr Michael) is settled.
"same old ways" Liliane answered.
She emphasized on how she have been trying to make her father understand and find reasons with her, but he has refused and blocked his ears.
She explained how tight her work is, and with the outbreak of the disease. Hospital has been buzzling with a lot of people and sometimes them Nurses are sent outside, to check and monitor nearby communities.
The little time she has, he usually dedicate it to this issue between her and her father.
Mr Bob felt so bad when he heard what Liliane said.
"my friend is a smart man and a good man too, so what is actually wrong with him"
"he is ageing, having a prolonged misunderstanding with any of his child now is not a good idea" Mr Bob said with so much concern.
He worried about his friend Dr Michael.
Dr Michael was also leaving alone in a big house.
At least,he should be in good terms with his children. Especially Liliane who is even close, others are outside the country.
Mr Bob worried about all these things.
He went to Dr Michael's house one day to talk to him again. At first Dr Michael didn't want to open the gate to his house for Mr Bob.
He later opened it after keeping Mr Bob waiting for minutes.
Their discussion didn't go well that day, as Dr Michael angrily insulted Mr Bob and asked him to leave his house and mind his business.
Mr Bob left that day in shame.
Weeks passed without any sound from Dr Michael's house, he sent his dog to the original owner.
He was just taking care of the dog when the owner travelled.
Mr Bob passed the silent house, he became worried again. He couldn't control whom he really was, the him who promised to mind his business and stay in his lane.
He struggled and entered Dr Michael's house, and was shocked to see his friend fold himself in a blanket.
He came close and checked his temperature, he was hot.
With fear he removed his phone and dialed Liliane's number.
Moments later, Liliane arrived examined her dad. Asked him few questions, she noticed he must have contacted the disease that is spreading.
She quickly called her team and told them to treat her dad as soon as possible.
With her position, they were able to save Dr Michael.
With tears, Dr Michael pleaded Mr Bob and Liliane to forgive him.
That he acted cowardly towards them.
They forgave him, and they embraced him.
