Jane stood in front of the Gigantic building, deciding if to go in or not. When she got the mail yesterday requiring she comes to High Waters Interiors to be interviewed for the position of a personal assistant, she was elated. She has heard so much about the company and their reputation for making quality interior designs and decorations.
Standing before the building in reality, she is begining to doubt if coming here was a smart idea. The building and everything about it looks so intimidating and terrifying. But not as terrifying as the thought of packing up and going back to her home town in where all her folks lived, folks who warned and tried everything possible to dissuade her from coming to the city.

Jane estaba de pie frente al edificio Gigantic, decidiendo si entrar o no. Cuando ayer recibió el correo en el que se le pedía que acudiera a High Waters Interiors para ser entrevistada para el puesto de asistente personal, se sintió eufórica. Había oído hablar mucho de la empresa y de su reputación de hacer diseños de interiores y decoraciones de calidad.
De pie ante el edificio en la realidad, empieza a dudar si venir aquí fue una idea inteligente. El edificio y todo lo que lo rodea parece tan intimidante y aterrador. Pero no tan aterrador como la idea de hacer las maletas y volver a su ciudad natal, donde vivían sus padres, que le advirtieron y trataron de disuadirla de venir a la ciudad.

"Hi my name is Jane I'm here for an interview, for the position of the personal assistant to the manager".
The receptionist smiled and replied "hello Jane, welcome to High Waters, Vivian will be with you shortly. Meanwhile she requested you wait in her office,The second door by your left".
She wasn't sitted for long when a beautiful middle aged woman walked into the office, putting on a gray jacket with a black jean trousers and a heel strapped sandals, she was carrying a Louis Vuitton handbag. Everything about her spoke class including the way she walked.
"Good morning, you must be Jane" she said as she walked towards the large mahogany desk and put down her handbag.
"Yes good morning, nice meeting you ma" Jane greeted as she stood up.
Call me Vivian, do have a sit. As you know you're required to start immediately my schedule these days is always choked up and I'm in dire need of an assistant. I hope you are competent like you stated in your resume?"
"Yes ma, I'm equal to the task and if there is anything I don't understand I'm a fast learner I will pick up".

"Hola mi nombre es Jane estoy aquí para una entrevista, para el puesto de asistente personal del gerente".
La recepcionista sonrió y respondió "hola Jane, bienvenida a High Waters, Vivian estará con usted en breve. Mientras tanto, le pide que espere en su despacho, la segunda puerta a su izquierda".
No llevaba mucho tiempo sentada cuando una hermosa mujer de mediana edad entró en la oficina, poniéndose una chaqueta gris con un pantalón vaquero negro y unas sandalias de tacón, llevaba un bolso Louis Vuitton. Todo en ella hablaba de clase, incluso su forma de caminar.
"Buenos días, tú debes ser Jane", dijo mientras se acercaba al gran escritorio de caoba y dejaba el bolso.
"Sí, buenos días, encantada de conocerte, mamá", saludó Jane mientras se levantaba.
Llámeme Vivian, siéntese. Como sabes, tienes que empezar de inmediato, mi agenda está siempre apretada y necesito urgentemente un asistente. Espero que seas competente como has declarado en tu currículum".
"Sí, señora, estoy a la altura de la tarea y si hay algo que no entiendo, aprendo rápido y lo cojo".

Jane replied nervously trying her best to look confident even if this is actually her first real job after graduation from the University, aside her one year National Youth Service where she served as an English teacher.
"Alright you got the job and that's because I don't have much time to interview other candidates but bear it in mind, the minute you fail to deliver I won't hesitate to fire your ass" She said meaning every word of it.
This scared Jane and almost made walk away from the job but then she remembered how broke she was and decided against the idea, she was determined more than ever to make it in this big city of Lagos and if doing her best to deliver at this job is one of the ways to achieve this goal, then she would."
"let's start with you organizing my calendar, it's so clustered said Vivian, She couldn't believed it, she said to herself it must be a dream, how blossom she's going to carry-on as a staff of High Waters Interior.

Jane contestó nerviosa tratando de parecer segura de sí misma, aunque este es su primer trabajo real después de graduarse de la Universidad, aparte de su servicio nacional de la juventud de un año en el que sirvió como profesora de inglés.
"De acuerdo, tienes el trabajo y eso es porque no tengo mucho tiempo para entrevistar a otros candidatos, pero ten en cuenta que en el momento en que no cumplas no dudaré en despedirte".
Esto asustó a Jane y casi la hizo abandonar el trabajo, pero entonces recordó lo arruinada que estaba y decidió no hacerlo, estaba más decidida que nunca a triunfar en esta gran ciudad de Lagos y si hacer lo mejor posible para cumplir con este trabajo es una de las maneras de lograr este objetivo, entonces lo haría".
"Empecemos por organizar mi agenda, está tan agrupada dijo Vivian, No podía creerlo, se dijo a sí misma que era un sueño, cómo va a florecer como personal de High Waters Interior.
