It was a cold snowy night in the town of fables, and most people were either indoors in front of their heat warmers or rushing home to avoid being frozen but there laid Mindy sitting on steps on an abandoned building with shorts and a skimpy tee.
As people walked past her, many gazed at her like she was eccentric but none said a word to her, instead they fasten their paces, and soon enough she was left outside all alone or so she thought.
You might wonder why a blonde-eyed beauty was seen sitting out in the cold but just like Mindy, the building held a lot of secrets that even most townsmen didn’t realize.
The building was once a magnificent structure that in its opening made everyone who saw it awe in delight, the architect's goal was to make sure that his work of art would go down in history and he put everything he could into it to make that happen.
From the walls made of paint imported from Germany to windows from Dutch, It was all rounding out to be perfection on earth but, every dream died when a ravaging fire engulfed the building a day after its opening.
Due to this, the architect fell into depression and disappeared from society and all that was left of his legacy was this sham of a building and well, Mindy.
Mindy would often come to the building to reminisce not only about what she lost that day, but also, in regret about what she did.
She could recall being so angry at her father for missing her concert because of his project, and skimming to take what he loved more than her away, one thing led to another the day after the opening, and she saw herself setting his building on fire.
She was never found out as the cause of the fire, but she lived life in a bubble of despair wishing that time could turn back and she could fix all that she broke.
If you looked at Mindy through a lens, you would notice that she was just like the building she sat in front of; broken and abandoned, never to be whole again.
