Two weeks before St.Patrick's Day, Professor Jimmy Palton decided to host all club '79 members to a sumptuous green beer party. The old school were to gather at his hilltop mansion close to the Chaston brewers factory. It's going to be a fun packed event as all classmates of Davenport university will have another opportunity to meet again.

Immediately the announcement was made on 101.7 FM radio station, several calls started coming from all around Europe, seeking more details as the event.

One caller from Witwatersrand asked the presenter:

Hello, this is Mark Fitsher calling from Wits, could you please give more insight on the scheduled green beer party to be hosted by Professor Jimmy?

It's going to be an open field party. No bottles will be around the perimeter of the event place. All beer cups will be plastic. This is to avoid any stories that could pierce the heart.
On and on the presenter Mike Moore kept counting how the party would go. After thirty minutes on-air, Mike returned home to come back the next day for a continuum.
Green beer is the beer that causes "biliousness". Marcus and Garvey were just having a chat over the upcoming party. Everyone is preparing big time to appear real good before their colleagues since it's going to be the first time they would be meeting after their graduation in 1979.
Professor Jimmy had made an arrangement with the brewer to make available twenty thousand litres of chilled green beer in the reservoir for the day. It is going to be the world's largest served beer in one common event.

One week to the event, Mike Moore pounced on the microphone to make a reminder of the green beer party that would come up on St. Patrick's Day. This is time, he was more detailed:

Green hats or jackets will be the costume of the day. A touch of green will be used as a pass from the gates.

To the east of the gate will be roasted pork and lemon with ketchup. Around the west will be chicken wings and potato chips and ketchup while the southern axis will be barbeque fish with lemon and ketchup, all served with green beer.

This announcement increased the number of people who registered online for the event. It's just six days away and the number of registered attendants has increased by 70%.

Finally the D-Day was here and people were trooping in and out of the hall appearing gallantly in the chosen dress code(green hat or jacket).Aroma of different dishes filled the air and one could tell even without being present that the party was going to be a fun-filled one.

Not quite long after the arrival of most people, the Master of Ceremony(MC) took the podium and began the opening of the ceremony by introducing well-known dignitaries. After which he warmly welcomed the students and asked one of them to lead them in opening prayer.
After the opening, Professor Jimmy had told them to make merry, enjoy themselves and dine while the night was still young. They were served brewed green beer. Unknown to them, it hadn't been totally fermented and the oxidation was to be completed inside of them.

They were all merrying when it occurred to them that some people were not in their right state of mind. They began to wonder what exactly was wrong with those people. Professor Jimmy took the podium and asked the DJ to put off the music. He was about addressing the audience when Handerson the head boy as at that time who was just coming from the toilet interrupted saying "there's a young man lying asleep in the toilet with his shoes in the zinc'.

His statement shocked everyone even more and they finally concluded that something was wrong…. But what was wrong? No one could tell what was wrong and while everyone was trying to figure it out, Professor Jimmy slumped and fell asleep immediately. The situation soon became alarming and everyone became scared. Anita, a student, suggested that they should call a doctor and everyone agreed to her suggestion.

A call was immediately placed to the doctor and he arrived in no time. The Doctor examined Professor Jimmy who was still fast asleep and said that he was asleep due to the substances he took in recently and everyone wondered what it was.

To make things easier, he called a food scientist to come examine all the dishes which were served. After not long after he arrived, he told them that the beer served was not completely brewed and that a small amount would have a great effect and impact on the consumer. Not long after he made this statement, a noise was heard from the toilet saying " I'm okay! ". Everyone laughed knowing fully well that it was the man whose shoes were in the zinc. Professor Jimmy got up too and made his way outside the hall through the main door.

In his absence, Handerson took the podium and brought the party to an end. Everyone bid each other farewell and went to their respective abode. Indeed, one could say the party was a fun-filled event with all the scenarios which occurred.
