Oh no!, that sound, familiar yet always taking one abruptly rang through the air like a thunderous trumpet, so loud that the birds in the sky jerked at it’s pronouncement. It emanated from a luxurious one bedroom apartment.

There was Jide a tall and slender looking young man. A peculiar looking dark lad with bulging eyes which earned him the nickname, “eyes of the gods” waking up to the sound of the alarm which had been ringing for 30minutes now. Now scampering, trying to make up for time lost to a sweet dreamy sleep.

He shook his head, trying not to recall what he had been dreaming about before the unwanted interruption by the alarm clock. Jide was already late for work, again, this has been happening several times now. He simple was losing it, nothing was going on as planned.Though he had a nice apartment, neat silky and almost of a gentleman standard.

The decors were delectable. Alluring as you like, anyone of a decent eyesight would be enchanted by it. From the drawings on the wall to the colorful curtains complemented by an excellent fitted and we’ll carpentered wardrobe, everything was stunning.

After a hurried bath coupled with a smart, lightening quick dressing He was looking sharp and savvy, but deep inside Jide was shattered and immeasurably disorganized to say the least.

At this point all on his mind was just to get to work and come back home as quickly as possible. He really hated his job. Jide was not one cut out for dealing with huge amount of people daily, he would have preferred working in a big firm, in an office all to himself and a desk In front of him, he thought, all things would have just been easy doing some paper work or drafting some documents without having to deal with an everyday crowd.Jide had gotten a job as a salesman in C & J Holding Enterprise, a job which actually came as a surprise and one which also did not meet his expectations.

He had gone through the streets, searching tirelessly, almost aimlessly because at some point he was willing to do any kind of job. When he finally got the job at C&J Holdings, he was not really ecstatic. Something was different about today, Jide thought, but he just couldn’t wrap his head on what it was really all about. Everything seemed slow and quiet and there were no crowd today, something out of the ordinary. He was glad of the way things were going. Soon after, he became lost in his thoughts. Reminiscing on the good old days, back in college. He was one of the brightest students.

All was perfect, right from his academic performances to extracurricular activities especially sports. He even graduated as the best student in his department. Things went downhill after that. We could say that things fell apart. Suddenly there was a tap on his back, then he realized that he had been in a sleeping position, his head bowed on top of the counter. It was just a customer trying to purchase a product. He had a mixed feeling of being annoyed and relieved at the same time, relieved that it was not his boss that tapped him otherwise he would have had a query, and annoyed because he felt that the customer had disturbed what seemed to have been a Peaceful reflection of how his life was and how it was going.

After attending to the somewhat annoying customer, Jide went back to his reflection, but this time it was kind of a conclusion. Perfection, he thought, was an impossible term as nothing or no one could actually be perfect. Even if one supposedly attained perfection, it wouldn’t last. According to him perfection was simply that little moment of happiness when nothing else mattered, just that little bit right there is perfection.
