Brutal in mind, soft hearted, eager to revenge but was ravaged by lack of charisma.
Chidi gave up his musical career, simply because he found favour in punching bags in the storehouse owned by his dead uncle.
The storehouse was a slum for him to punch away his frustration.
Yeah, he was well beaten by his dead uncle for stealing his used toothpicks which he used to create holes on the head of his neighbor's son.
Chidi was so heartless that people suggested that he should join the military. Maybe he dies in the war front, but destiny prevailed.
Chidi suffered depression for 4 years after he loss all of his relatives in a fatal accident.
It all started when his father invited them for his traditional marriage of his second wife after loosing Chidi's mother. Chidi could not go because he hated the young lady and vowed never to be found in such gathering. He stayed back on the deal day, only to hear that all who went for the traditional marriage died like rats before a million number of hungry cats.
Since then, Chidi's pride slashed into two, leaving him with nothing but abandoned houses to look after.
He rented almost all the rooms and apartments built by his loved ones, sold so many landed properties in order to survive, but hunger kept on knocking on his door, requesting for more.
He felt so bad that he wasn't getting the money easily but spent so much in maintenances and settling on court cases and those of his father's enemies.

One day, Chidi went to his punching storehouse, arranged some bags for his daily exercise and began to harmer punches on them.
He did this for about an hour, not knowing that someone was just behind him watching the whole ah aash aasah!
When he thought that he was done, a mature kind of slaps sounded behind him. He turned hurriedly, looked at the person.
Lo and behold, it was his father's secretary.
He applauded him while cheering him.
Encouraged him with an invitation to a boxing competition in two weeks time.

The young blood prepared for the challenge, worked up his strength with his ever supportive girlfriend every day until the deal day.
The day came for his entry to the world heavyweight championship 🏆.
He got registered to challenge other competitors in the preliminary phase but there was a problem with his agreement.
His father's secretary signed a depressive kind of agreement whereby, he will be getting 80% of the total payout which doesn't give a room for Chidi's medical care, outfits and feeding.
This got him so sad, but he entered anyways.
The fight went well and to his favour. He won all the fight brought before him, challenged his seniors and also won.
He made good amount of money, but was paid off according to the rules guiding his participation.

After 3 years of being known with another man's paperwork, he got it all wrapped up with the secretary.
He broke the rules by getting his personal lawyer for a discontinuation of the agreement.
"What!"
"Rules are rules, remember?"
Said by the secretary, but they'll be nullified soon.
Well, he had no option than to leave Chidi to thrive on his own path.
Chidi, answering his name and playing according to his rules gave him the full motivation that he needed for attainment of greatness.
He hustled his way up, became the new world heavyweight champion, maintained it for a while until another young blood knocked him out in the 8th round.
He retired with fat money, heavier than most civil service worker's pension.
