The Amazon Army!

"thumbnail.png"

Greetings everyone,

So recently, @jungleboy1 held a giveaway competition where we have to submit our amazon decks, and explain why we chose them and what was the thought process about them so if you have not checked it out yet do so here: @jungleboy1/nature-card-giveaway-amazons-edition

So this is going to be my submission for this competition, and I will actually be using a deck that I have tried and played with before for a while but edited a little bit to it, that I was able to built with cards I own although I am lacking some cards that I think will make it even more effective and better.

We all know that GU developers are trying as much as they can to push tribes game into meta, and amazon had its small moments and is still getting into the meta slowly and maybe will even more in the future so It is a very good chance for each player to experience more decks and see what each and every player's thought about this is, so without further ado let's jump into my deck!

The Deck

So to me, the only gameplay for amazon that I was exposed to and tried before were all aggressive to somewhat mid game decks, where the goal of the deck is to try and flood the board as much as possible and dominate it, and use these couple of spells to buff your creatures insanely and take over the game from there.

And this deck is no different; the goal behind it is to try as much as possible to control the board from early on, use the couple of amazon synergies available in your favor to take over the game early on, and then when you have an established board, the use of either Firewine or Arkmonian Onslaught should do the trick for you.

Now some choices in this deck might be questionable, but I will go through each weird and important cards and talk about why I think they would work and do good for this deck:

Important Cards

Arrow of Rage

"arrow.jpg"

I have been a fan and been loving this card in general for a while now, but I also think it would work really good in this deck because it can be a cheap removal option especially with the Nightleaf Hunter if it had 3 strength the arrow of rage should be enough to remove any creature in the early game. So I think it can help dominate the board very well early on.

Gersemi, Freyja's Spear

"gersemi.jpg"

Since this deck is all about establishing board and having many creature on it at the same time, the Regen of Gersemi can be too good especially if those creatures were also buffed with the Arkmonian Onslaught, it is also a 3/3 Amazon creature which is pretty good for a 3 mana card I would say

Nightleaf Prowler

"nightleaf.jpg"

Now the Hidden on this creature can help you get back in the game again in case you were losing, or can help you finish the game off; since hidden creatures are more probable to survive to next turn, you can use Arkmonian Onslaught in the next turn and have 3 6/4 creatures with twin strike in only 2 turns which is very good if all creatures survived.

Arkmonian Onslaught

Now I think this card is the foundation of any aggro Amazon deck, especially after the rework of Penthesilean Warrior, since aggro amazon is all about establishing board this card is now the best and only wide buff for amazon decks which make it very important for me to be added here.

Now there are also some cards that I think would have made this deck a little bit better but unfortunately I do not own them, but here are some of them:

Cards I would add if owned

Jaguar Rider

Now despite this card having low HP, I think it would still be a decent choice for this deck and it can also be a good combo with the Arrow of Rage in case there was a strong annoying creature for your opponent which make it more worthwhile to remove it with this spell and not sacrifice creatures.

Hippolyta, Divided

"hippo.jpg"

Now this card would also be a great addition for this deck, especially since it will have blitz, protected and Amazon, despite the deck being a little aggressive in case things went out of hand adding 1 copy of this can help you get back into the game so definitely a good option to consider adding if I had it.

Steadfast Scout

"steafast.jpg"

Since this deck is somewhat aggressive, you should already have 2 creatures already on board at the 4 5 mana spot, also maybe on 3 mana if things went perfectly, thus this creature can get its buff and become a 3/5 creature of 3 mana which is huge on top of being an Amazon so I think this addition can make a huge difference to the deck!

Final Thoughts

This was my final Amazon deck that I built with the cards I own, and also how it would be if I had a couple of other cards that I do not own. Now I think this deck would be good at the moment, however tribe play is still not that top meta, hopefully in the future with the changes this could be more and more into the meta.

Now I am not an Amazon expert myself, I only played it for a few times and this was the best deck I can come up with as far as what I own and what cards are within my budget and goals so hopefully you like it let me know what you think about it!

And huge thank you for @jungleboy1 for organizing this giveaway these type of giveaways help our community grow and become a better place as well as bring new fun and competition to it! And good luck to everyone who is participating, may the RNG gods be on your side! That was it for this one and I will see you on the next one! Mad Love, Peace out <3
