It is the dream of most people to be a better version of themselves in every area of their life. We often make these decisions to grow at different points in our lives and it could be a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly resolution. Sometimes, we put all our efforts into growing but the result isn't what we expected which make us feel like we can never progress from our present state.

In order to become a better version of yourself, you must understand that it does not happen miraculously. It takes a mind that is intentional and dedicated to grow in life. There must be a conscious effort to make considerable progress in life. You must be willing to start from the scratch by taking those little baby steps. It is the little moves that you make that will give you the big results that you seek.

The mistake people make most of the time is that they start the journey of becoming a better person by making big moves when they were supposed to begin with the little ones. The big moves may become too difficult for you to handle because you haven't gone through the basics and it may lead to you losing focus on your growth journey. Have you seen a baby who started running the day he or she was born? No, they start by crawling, walking, then running.

Perhaps you want to make a difference in your society by helping the less privileges, it is better to start little by little, then gradually you start to increase your outreach. You may lose interest in assisting people when you begin by reaching out to twenty people when you resources can only cater for five people. You'd have a wrong impression about being kind to people if you do more than you can cope with. You should do what will make you happy and not having regrets in the journey of being a better person.

On the other hand, little steps is better than not taking any step at all. So, in anything you want to improve on in your life, don't be discouraged because of the little steps you take but you should be expectant of the great results that will follow. You will not be able to achieve anything if you don't make any move and those moves does not have to be big. If you want to ditch a bad behavior or habit, you have to begin by waking up daily and telling yourself that you don't want to engage in the act throughout the day. As time goes by, you'd move on to weekly, montly and yearly. Before you know it the habit is now a thing of the past.

The fact that you want to be better means you are trying to improve on yourself or you are trying to get rid of some bad things in your life. This process will not be easy. It may come with pain and stress because you are not used to it before but it will be worth the pain in the end.

Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean. Don't give up on the journey of becoming a better version of you.
