I apologize to all those who have started their week normally on this Monday, but on this side of the world, precisely in Argentina, we are experiencing the third Sunday of our long weekend that is not over yet. And it is that we come from four days of rest that have messed up my whole routine, but I promise that tomorrow I will return to normal. I needed relaxing from everything in general, so I took a break from writing long posts and symbolically vacationed all weekend, where everything I had was food and visiting my family 😃.
Perdonen a todos los que han empezado su semana normalmente en este lunes, pero por este lado del mundo, precisamente en Argentina, estamos viviendo el tercer domingo de nuestro fin de semana largo que aún no termina. Y es que venimos de cuatro días de descanso que me han descompaginado toda la rutina, pero prometo que mañana volveré a la normalidad. Necesitaba un respiro de todo en general, así que me ausenté de escribir publicaciones largas y vacacioné simbólicamente todo el fin de semana, en donde lo que menos faltó fue la comida y visitar a mi familia 😃.
This week we had a four-day weekend because Friday and today were holidays here. You can imagine how the travel agencies were, offering tour packages like crazy. Particularly, I don't prefer to travel on these types of days because of course everything is more expensive, but I'm happy for the people who can. That's why I didn't make any plans and stayed calm at home. By the way, stopping for a bit feels good because in these times of bear market it is necessary to save until times (and prices) improve :p.
Esta semana tuvimos un fin de semana de cuatro días porque el viernes y hoy fueron feriados acá. Se imaginarán como estaban las agencias de viaje, ofreciendo paquetes turísticos como locos. Particularmente, yo no prefiero viajar en este tipo de días porque por supuesto todo es más caro, pero me alegro por la gente que sí puede hacerlo. Es por eso que no hice ningún plan y me quedé tranquila en mi casa. De paso, parar un poco me sienta bien porque en estos momentos de bear market es necesario ahorrar hasta que los tiempos (y los precios) mejoren :p.
And as if all this were not enough, being so close to the beginning of winter, the weather is making itself felt and we had some days so frozen that we did not want to do anything other than lie down and cover up to the head. I miss my youth, when all these things did not matter to me and it could turn out the same. The only thing that made me move from my house was that Sunday was Father's Day and of course I had to go spend it with my father and brothers 😀.
Y como si todo eso fuera poco, estando tan cerca del inicio del invierno, el clima se está haciendo notar y tuvimos unos días tan congelados que no daban ganas de otra cosa que no sea estar acostado y tapado hasta la cabeza. Extraño mi juventud, cuando todas estas cosas no me importaban y podía salir igual. Lo único que me hizo moverme de mi casa fue que el domingo fue el Día del Padre y por supuesto tuve que ir a pasarlo con mi padre y hermanos 😃.
We had a small celebration that consisted of a lunch of meat empanadas. For those who don't know, empanadas are formed by wrapping a filling of minced meat, onion, bell pepper, condiments and hard-boiled egg inside a dough. Then, they are cooked fried in fat so that they finish being light. The good thing about empanadas is that they are delicious, the bad thing is that they take a long time to prepare. BUT they say that good things cost so that is the price to pay for a lunch like this 😅.
Hicimos un pequeño festejo que cosistió en un almuerzo de empanadas de carne. Para quienes no sepan, las empanadas se forman envolviendo un relleno de carne picada, cebolla, morrón, condimentos y huevo duro dentro de una masa. Luego, se cocinan fritas en grasa para que terminen de ser lights. Lo bueno que tienen las empanadas es que son deliciosas, lo malo es que lleva bastante tiempo prepararlas. PERO dicen que las cosas buenas cuestan así que es el precio que hay que pagar por un almuerzo como este 😅.
And as if yesterday we ate little, later we had another birthday which of course we also went to. It was my little cousin's birthday and they organized a celebration with cake and everything. And as if it seemed little until now, at night there was a barbecue for Father's Day so I literally spent the whole day eating 😅.
Y como si fuera que ayer comimos poco, más tarde tuvimos otro cumpleaños al que por supuesto también fuimos. Era el cumpleaños de mi pequeña prima y organizaron un festejo con torta y todo. Y como si parecía poco hasta ahora, a la noche hubo asado por el Día del Padre así que literalmente estuve todo el día comiendo 😅.
Later I complain that my face is getting round but I quite deserve it. Today I let my stomach rest and barely ate anything to keep me on my feet. In the meantime, I am enjoying the last few hours of this great long weekend. Tomorrow I have a long day of work ahead of me in real life, giving private lessons all day, so for now I'm still taking advantage of this blessed break ❤️.
Después me quejo de que me está quedando la cara redonda pero me lo merezco bastante. Hoy dejé descansar el estómago y apenas comí algo para mantenerme en pie. Mientras tanto, disfruto las últimas horas que le quedan a este gran fin de semana largo. Mañana me espera un largo día de trabajo en la vida real, dando clases particulares todo el día, así que por ahora sigo aprovechando este bendecido descanso ❤️.
