I HAVE FINISHED THE CONSTRUCTION OF MY ROOM, ONLY SOME SMALL DETAIL...

In mid-December of last year 2021, I continued a construction work in which I am materializing my room-studio, in this post I tell more about that work in detail; shortly after starting to build, the construction material ran out at the hardware store where he was buying it; At the beginning of February of this year, the material arrived again and I was able to continue this work.

A mediados de diciembre del pasado año 2021 dí continuación a una obra de construcción en la que estoy materializando mi habitación-estudio, en este post cuento mas a detalle sobre esa obra; al poco tiempo de comenzar a construir, se agoto el material de construcción en la ferretería dónde lo estaba comprando; al inicio de febrero del presente año, llego el material nuevamente y pude continuar esta obra.

The work I needed to do was finish covering with cement one wall inside the room and two visible walls outside.

El trabajo que me faltaba por hacer era terminar de cubrir con cemento una pared del interior de la habitación y dos paredes visibles del exterior.

I decided to carry out this construction by myself, because when I built the facade of the house I hired a master mason to do the work and I had the opportunity to learn how to cover the walls with the material in a very efficient way; On that previous occasion I took on the role of assistant, but I was attentive to the entire procedure carried out by the mason in order to apply it now in the construction of my room; in addition to the fact that thanks to doing it myself I save a large amount of money in labor, with motivation and effort everything can be achieved.

Decidí realizar esta construcción yo solo, ya que cuando construí la fachada de la casa contrate a un maestro albañil para que hiciera la obra y tuve la oportunidad de aprender como cubrir las paredes con el material de una manera muy eficiente; en esa anterior ocasión yo tomé el rol de ayudante, pero estuve atento a todo el procedimiento que realizó el albañil para poder aplicarlo ahora en la construcción de mi habitación; además de que gracias a hacerlo yo mismo me ahorre una gran cantidad de dinero en mano de obra, con motivación y esfuerzo todo se puede lograr.

Doing all the work alone is quite forced, each wall took me a whole day to cover it, because I had to do many things, look for the material, prepare the mixture, constantly keep the mixture smooth and cover the wall with the mixture; I tried very hard to get everything done, but I took more time than planned.

Hacer todo el trabajo solo es bastante forzoso, cada pared me tomó un día entero para cubrirla, porque tenía que hacer muchas cosas, entre buscar el material, preparar la mezcla, mantener constantemente la mezcla suave y aparte cubrir la pared con la mezcla; me esforcé mucho para lograr terminar todo, pero ocupé mas tiempo del planificado.

After finishing covering all the walls with cement, all that remained was to apply a final thin layer of cement and sifted powder, in order to leave the surface of the walls completely smooth.

Despues de terminar de cubrir todas las paredes con cemento, solo faltaba aplicar una última capa fina de cemento y polvillo cernido, eso con la finalidad de dejar la superficie de las paredes completamente lisas.

This last process was a little easier to carry out, what took me more time was sifting the dust, one day to sift and another to apply the thin layer on the wall, I had to do it twice, because the first mixture did not reached for all the walls.

Este último proceso fue un poco mas sencillo de realizar, lo que me llevo mas tiempo fue cernir el polvillo, un día para cernir y otro para aplicar la capa fina en la pared, tuve que hacerlo en dos ocasiones, porque la primera mezcla no me alcanzó para todas las paredes.

Last Sunday, March 6, I managed to finish that coverage, and all the walls were smooth and beautiful, just as I wanted them to be; I feel very happy to be able to achieve this project and that I am doing it with my own hands; of course there is still work to be done, I have to paint the walls and place the light connectors and some lamps that I could buy to illuminate the room (all the electrical wiring is already done), but the part that took the most work is already done and that fills me with great joy; I also plan to put ceramics on the floor, but that will be for a couple of months to recover some capital, for now I will finish covering the door with a sheet that I have to recycle and after I paint everything the room it's time to move in for my new work space. El pasado domingo 6 de marzo logré culminar esa cobertura, ya todas las paredes quedaron lisas y bellas, justo como deseaba que quedaran; me siento muy feliz de poder lograr este proyecto y de que lo estoy haciendo con mis propias manos; claro todavía falta trabajo por hacer, tengo que pintar las paredes y colocar los conectores de la luz y unas lámparas que pude comprar para iluminar la habitación (ya todo el cableado eléctrico esta hecho), pero la parte que mas trabajo llevó, ya esta realizada y eso me llena de mucha alegría; también tengo pensado colocar cerámicas en el piso, pero ya eso será para dentro de un par de meses que recupere algo de capital, por ahora terminaré de cubrir la puerta con una lamina que tengo para reciclar y despues de que pinte toda la habitación es hora de mudarme para mí nuevo espacio de trabajo.
