La verdad poco tiene importancia en este momento, lo realmente importante es que estamos aquí nuevamente reunidos en este escrito que les presento, esta vez nos trasladaremos al Mundo Mágico de Harry Potter, un universo en el que hace tiempo no incursionamos, pero eso cambia hoy.
Este escrito es muy especial pues se trata de uno de los personajes más enigmáticos de la historia central de los libros y que con la aparición de las películas de Animales Fantásticos ha tomado mucha más relevancia dentro del lore e incluso se ha ganado un gran número de admiradores y fans en la saga.
Lo que se cuenta sobre él en las películas ya muchos lo sabemos, sin embargo hoy recopilaré toda la historia y referencias alusivas a este personaje que yacen en los libros.
Hoy hablaremos sobre el que fue para muchos el mago tenebroso más poderoso que existió en el mundo, solo superado en crueldad por Lord Voldemort; hoy hablaremos de nada más y nada menos que el gran Gellert Grindelwald, el mago que puso a casi toda Europa y parte de Norte América de rodillas ante él, sin más que decir vamos con ello.

This writing is very special because it is about one of the most enigmatic characters of the central story of the books and that with the appearance of the Fantastic Beasts films has taken much more relevance within the lore and has even gained a large number of fans and fans in the saga.
What is told about him in the movies many of us already know, however today I will compile all the history and allusive references to this character that lie in the books.
Today we will talk about the one who was for many the most powerful dark wizard who existed in the world, only surpassed in cruelty by Lord Voldemort; today we will talk about nothing more and nothing less than the great Gellert Grindelwald, the wizard who brought almost all of Europe and part of North America to its knees before him, without more to say let's go with it.

Lo que sabemos por los libros es que Gellert tuvo su educación mágica en el colegio de Durmstrang lo cual me da a suponer que su lugar de origen se sitúa en algún país del Norte de Europa, también que tenía familia inglesa.
Con respecto a su nacimiento mi suposición personal es que debió tener la misma edad o cuando menos una edad contemporánea a la de su amigo Albus Dumbledore por lo que especulo que debió nacer entre el año 1881 y el 1883. Creo que en la antigua página conocida web como Potter More que ahora es Wizarding World se nos habla que el año de su nacimiento fue efectivamente el 1883 aunque no especifica el mes exacto de su nacimiento.

The birth of Grindelwald is a mystery, in none of the Harry Potter books we are detailed the year of his birth nor the place or who were his parents and what role they had in his upbringing. What we know from the books is that Gellert had his magical education at Durmstrang school which gives me to suppose that his place of origin is located in some Northern European country, also that he had English family.
Regarding his birth my personal guess is that he must have been the same age or at least a contemporary age as his friend Albus Dumbledore, so I speculate that he must have been born between 1881 and 1883. I believe that in the old web page known as Potter More which is now Wizarding World we are told that the year of his birth was indeed 1883 although it does not specify the exact month of his birth.
Of Grindelwald's childhood we do not have too much data, but it is made clear that he always had power and a huge talent for magic, similar to Albus, in his stay at Durmstrang School proved to be a shrewd, intelligent and extremely bright student. However, high grades, awards and praise were of no importance to him.
In Grindelwald's mind there was no place for those things that other wizards considered important, his mind turned to pursuing other goals.

They dreamed of leading that world they talked so much about and becoming the lords of death and the greatest wizards ever known. Due to the immense amount of time they spent together, Albus began to neglect his sister and his younger brother Aberforth was tired of Albus spending so much time with Gellert.

The girl witnessed the fight and in her eagerness to help and stop the fight was hit by a curse, it was never known who threw it, but the damage was already done. Gellert, panicked because he did not want to be involved in the conflict, fled the place in a hurry to his great-aunt's house, from where he left just the next day, leaving the Valley of Godric never to return.
