Hello friends in this #Hive community, this is my first post here, but I have been following for months the posts here because I like plants in general and obviously because succulents are kind of "collectibles and photogenic" at the same time.... :-)

Hola amigos en esta comunidad de #Hive, esta es mi primera publicación aquí, pero he seguido desde hace meses las publicaciones de aquí porque me gustan las plantas en general y obviamente porque las suculentas son algo como "coleccionables y fotogenicas" a un mismo tiempo... :-)

So I wanted to share with you today some pictures of succulents and cacti that I have found in my mother's and my own garden. We have houses next door to each other and belonging to our family for generations, both houses also share very large yards.... So there are plants in many different corners!... That's good for taking pictures!.... ;-)

Entonces he querido compartir hoy con ustedes algunas fotografías de suculentas y cactus que he encontrado en el jardín de mi madre y en el mío mismo. Tenemos casas aledañas y pertenecientes a nuestra familia por generaciones, ambas casas también comparten patios muy grandes... ¡Así que hay plantas de muchos tipos rincones!... ¡Eso es bueno para hacer fotos!... ;-)

I have to confess that my mother and my wife are the ones who take care of these plants... I, for my part, only collaborate sometimes to move some pots and to sift the soil and substrates that they use to sow them... Ah!... And of course... I take photos of them! ;-)

Tengo que confesar que quienes prodigan cuidados a estas plantas son mi madre y mi esposa... Yo, por mi parte, solo colaboro a veces a mover algunos materos y a cernir las tierras y sustratos que ellas usan para sembrarlas... ¡Ah!... Y por supuesto... ¡Les hago fotos!.. ;-)

I understand that these plants are quite common here in our region. My wife says that they are like "little pets" that can last for a long time as they are always growing and renewing shoots on the same plant.

Tengo entendido que estas plantas son bastante comunes aquí en nuestra región. Mi esposa dice que son como "pequeñas mascotas" que pueden durar mucho tiempo pues siempre están creciendo y renovando brotes en la misma planta.

I see a bit of "chaos" here in our yards, these plants seem to grow everywhere and profusely in pots and planters.... There are also some on the ground.

Yo veo un poco de "caos" aquí en nuestros patios, estas plantas parecen crecer a por doquier y de manera profusa en potes y jardineras... También hay algunas en el suelo.

One thing is undeniable: The diversity of shapes and textures of these plants makes one passionate about them and want to have as many as possible.

Una cosa si es innegable: La diversidad de formas y texturas de estas plantas hace que unos se apasione y quiera tener todas las que sea posible.

I've really enjoyed taking and editing the photos of these beautiful plants... I'm going to include them among my photographic "fetishes"!.... :-) There cohabit things like: Streets, forests, cats, insects and birds... Now I will add succulents! ;-)

He disfrutado mucho hacer y editar las fotos de estas hermosas plantas... ¡Las voy a incluir entre mis "fetiches" fotográficos!... :-) Allí cohabitan cosas como: Calles, bosques, gatos, insectos y aves... ¡Ahora sumaré a las suculentas! ;-)

Otra cosa que quisiera hacer, es aprender e investigas sobre las características y la taxonomía de estas plantas que tenemos en nuestros patios, pues eso es algo siempre interesante y digno de disfrutarse.
