Mexican Murals - Raccoons in Querétaro [CCC's Street Art Contest #176]

While visiting my wife's family for Christmas in the former Mexican capital of Querétaro, I came across a funny mural. It was just about a block from where we were staying, where the Ave. Chabacano meets Las Castañas street.

The image is of two raccoons eating a slice of watermelon. It is cute, it is funny, and it immediately catches the eye of people passing by. Other than that, however, I have no information about this mural, or the artist(s) who created it.

Querétaro, by the way, is literally plastered with incredible murals. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to venture out myself to take pictures of them, as all I could do was getting glimpses of them as we were driving by. So for now, this will remain my only example of street art from Querétaro... for now at least. Though there is always a chance I may visit again.

This post is my entry to the weekly CCC's Street Art Contest where enthusiasts for wall paintings post cool images from around the world. To see more of my collection from Mexico, please visit my series Mexican Murals.
