Today was a long Saturday, making this #beersaturday tasting very welcomed (and delicious). I returned yet again to my favorite liquor store in Minnesota and found this new offering from another Wisconsin brewery I had not heard of beer. The name of the brewery is Young Blood Beer Company, and if the rest of their offerings are as good as this one, it might be a brewery I need to support going forward.

The can design is very unique. There appears to be some type of fantasy-style story going along with each beer offering:

The story sounds interesting, but the hop profile is much more appealing (to me anyway). Add to it this double IPA is coming in at 9% ABV, and I will no doubt be feeling pretty good pretty quickly.

The body and color on this DIPA are very light. Hazy, but certainly light.

The head is almost candy-like, and you can not taste any alcohol whatsoever. I know the 9% is in there but...I can't taste it. This is a very good beer...and there is almost a soda pop sensibility to it as the can states. Very good beer; I'm impressed.

So what else did I manage to do today? Well, we managed the tundra swan experience from earlier in the day. We were on Hattie duty for most of the day. When she finally clunked out for her nap, I got a good hike in at the old abandoned rock quarry:

For dinner, we ordered some Mexican food from a new local street taco restaurant as take-out. The food was also wonderful:

Now we are finally setting in to get into the new Beatles documentary. Let it Be is my least favorite of the albums, but hey, this one seems to lead up to the rooftop concert. At least I believe that is the plot. As I said earlier, it's been a long day, and this beer is tasting wonderful.
