A big hello to everyone in the Qsounds community. I'm Omar from @musicandreview and for me it's an honor to participate for the first time in this community and in this fun challenge.
One of the wonderful things about this platform is that it connects you with wonderful people, with great talents that maybe you didn't even expect to interact with at some point in your life. One of those talents is @mipiano, who always captivates us with great and virtuous Piano performances but besides that, he comes up with beautiful, fun and unknown challenges with this one, that speaks of a person who has a lot of creativity and a nice personality. In particular I find it very curious that this challenge was born from a "random" comment from @ylich, who by the way is one of the great talents I make reference to and who I'm sure we all admire.

Una de las cosas maravillosas que tiene esta plataforma es que te conecta con gente maravillosa, con grandes talentos con los que quizá no esperabas ni siquiera relacionarte en algún momento de tu vida. Unos de esos talentos es @mipiano, quien siempre nos cautiva con grandes y virtuosas ejecuciones de Piano pero además de eso, se le ocurren bonitos, divertidos y desconocidos retos con este, eso habla de una persona que tiene mucha creatividad y una bonita personalidad. En lo particular me parece muy curioso que este reto haya nacido de un comentario "random" de @ylich, quien por cierto es uno de los grandes talentos a los que hago referencia y a quien estoy seguro de que todos admiramos.

Poniéndonos en marcha, no queda mas que seguir las pautas establecidas para este reto:
No puede ser verdad.
1. Hazte una foto con un instrumento musical que NO toques.
Since I was very young I have been a fan of dozens of Rock bands and many styles within that genre; and as we all know, the drums are a basic and fundamental instrument for it, there is no good Rock or Heavy Metal band that doesn't have a good drummer.
There are many factors, but one of the main ones that make me get attached or feel curious about the drums is the energy discharge that comes out of the body of the drummer, I always admire the physical and emotional performance of great drummers and this generates in me a lot of adrenaline and the need to hit something (in the good sense) but to generate a rhythmic, either of the song I'm listening at the moment or one that I imagine in my head.
Many may think that because of how rudimentary it seems to be the drums can be easy to learn, but the truth is that like most musical instruments you need to learn the theoretical foundations of music and practice a lot, in fact because of its characteristics it is not an instrument for everyone.
I in particular have tried a couple of times to play drums and it has been a failure (laughs in my head), but it is totally logical because as I said before, it requires a lot of practice and dedication.
2. Escribe una anécdota sobre cómo has conseguido llegar a ese instrumento y/o por qué has elegido ese.
Desde muy joven he sido fanático de decenas de bandas de Rock y de muchos estilos que hay dentro de ese género; y como bien sabemos, la batería es un instrumento básico y fundamental para el mismo, no existe una buena banda de Rock o Heavy Metal que no tenga un buen baterista.
Son muchos los factores, pero uno de los principales que me hacen apegarme o sentir curiosidad por la batería es la descarga de energía que se desprende del cuerpo de quien la ejecuta, siempre veo mucha admiración el desempeño físico y emocional de grandes bateristas y ello genera en mi mucha adrenalina y la necesidad de golpear algo (en el buen sentido) pero para generar una rítmica, ya sea de la canción que este escuchando en el momento o de alguna que imagine en mi cabeza.
Muchos pueden pensar que por lo rudimentario que parece ser la batería puede ser fácil de aprender, pero la verdad es que al igual que la mayoría de instrumentos musicales necesitas aprender fundamentos teóricos de la música y practicar mucho, de hecho que por sus características no es un instrumento para todos.
Yo en los particular, he intentado un par de veces tocar batería y ha sido todo un fracaso (Risas en mi cabeza), pero es totalmente lógico porque como dije anteriormente, requiere de mucha practica y dedicación.
The drum set is an instrument of percussion that generally consists of bass drum, snare drum, cymbals, 2 or more toms and hi hat, although depending on the musical genre and the complexity of the band or musician can vary by adding more components such as tambourine, wood blocks, exotic cymbals, among others.
To play the drums, it is necessary to use all the extremities of your body. Both hands to hold the drumsticks with which the beats are made, one foot for the pedal that hits the bass drum and the other foot to generate variations in the sound of the hi hat. A favorable physical condition is necessary since up to 500 calories can be burned in one session.
The musician who plays the drums can be called "Percussionist" or "Drummer" indistinctly.
Evidently the information that I expose in this point is not nearly the totality, there are many characteristics, variations, elements, types of drummers, among many things more that for obvious reasons it is not worth the trouble to extend not to bore you.
3. Escribe algún dato curioso o interesante sobre ese instrumento, cualquier cosa que creas que puede hacernos entender mejor y aprender de forma interesante sobre él. O puedes explicar cómo funciona el instrumento, cómo da el sonido, partes del mismo, eso lo decides tú.
La Batería es un instrumento o conjunto de instrumentos de percusión que generalmente esta compuesta por Bombo, caja, platillos, 2 o mas toms y el hi hat, aunque dependiendo del genero musical y de la complejidad de la banda o musico puede variar agregando mas componentes como la pandereta, bloques de madera, platillos exóticos, entre otros.
Para ejecutar la batería, en necesario utilizar todas las extremidades de tu cuerpo. Ambas manos para sujetar las baquetas con las que se realizan los golpes, un pie para el pedal que golpea el bombo y el otro pie para generar variaciones en el sonido del hi hat. Es necesaria una condición física favorable ya que se pueden quemar hasta 500 calorías en una sesión.
El musico que toca la batería puede ser llamado "Percusionista" o "Baterista" indistintamente.
Evidentemente la información que expongo en este punto no es ni de cerca la totalidad, existen muchas características, variaciones, elementos, tipos de bateristas, entre muchas cosas mas que por motivos obvios no vale la pena extender para no aburrirlos.
I will share with you some songs that because of their musical genre are not so well known but enjoy a great complexity and execution by their drummers. This is not exactly a top.
4. Comparte algunas piezas famosas / o menos famosas compuestas para ese instrumento, de cualquier género musical.
Compartiré con ustedes algunas canciones que por su genero musical no son tan conocidas pero gozan de una gran complejidad y ejecución por parte de sus bateristas. No se trata de un top precisamente.
First I will show you the drummer and founder of my favorite band Dream Theater, his name is Mike Portnoy and here he masterfully performs the song "Panic Attack" from the album Octavarium. Portnoy is a world exponent of the metal genre and currently continues to dazzle us with his talent and virtuosity.
Primero les mostraré a quien fue en su momento baterista y fundador de mi banda favorita Dream Theater, se llama Mike Portnoy y aquí ejecuta magistralmente la canción "Panic Attack" del álbum Octavarium. Portnoy es un exponente mundial del genero metal y actualmente sigue deslumbrándonos con su talento y virtuosismo.
In second place we have someone perhaps a little less known but who has a technique that year after year positions him higher and higher, his name is Jay Postones and he plays for the British band "Tesseract", in this opportunity he performs a Drum video of the song Dystopia.
En segundo lugar tenemos a alguien quizá un poco menos conocido pero que tiene una técnica que año a año lo posiciona cada vez mas alto, su nombre Jay Postones y toca para banda británica "Tesseract", en esta oportunidad ejecuta un Drum video de la canción Dystopia.
Last but not least I will show you a drummer and human being very important for Dina and me, his name is Pat Torpey and in this video he plays a spectacular Drum Solo. He was the drummer of the band Mr Big since its foundation until he sadly left this plane a few years ago. For us his good vibes and constant smile in each of his performances is still contagious, he had a great technique and special ability to accompany with second voices whenever the band needed it.
Por ultimo pero no menos importante les mostraré a un baterista y ser humano muy importante para Dina y para mi, su nombre es Pat Torpey y en este video ejecuta un Drum Solo espectacular. El fue baterista de la banda Mr Big desde su fundación hasta que tristemente dejó este plano hace unos pocos años. Para nosotros sigue siendo contagiosa su buena vibra y sonrisa constante en cada una de sus presentaciones, tenía una gran técnica y especial habilidad para acompañar con segundas voces cada vez que la banda lo necesitaba.
