Maybe, Stuck With For Almost Ever

A few years ago when my life was a bit traumatic, I often imagined how life would be if I packed up a few possession and ran away.

Even though it was a silly dream because I wouldn't have ever been able to do that, it brought me so much peace and serenity, so, when I saw this question for the #KISS for this week, I smiled because it is something that I have imagined before.

As someone who lives in their head, living in an isolated place is something that I have always wanted and the only reason I haven't done it is due to the fact that I’d miss my family.

Anyways, back to the question, if I had I had to relinquish everything and take five items, they would be;

MY FIVE ITEMS AND MY REASONS WHY

MY PHONE

I think the first thing I would obviously take is my phone because, well, I won't lie and say that I can live without it.

My phone is really important as I work on my phone, create content both on hive and TikTok, have pictures that I can't live without, and also, communicate with everyone I know.

From a very young age, I got a phone, and ever since I haven't ever been without one; yes, it isn't a good habit but, it is what it is.

MY LAPTOP
Another thing that I would immediately take is my laptop because I need it to write and watch movies.

First, for the writing, I am currently writing a book so I can't imagine not having my laptop to do that.

Also, as someone who struggles with depression, I sometimes need distractions, and movies are my go to so, I would need it for this.

A TEESHIRT

While clothes are important, the reason I would take this teeshirt isn't to cover up but, because it belonged to someone else; my father.

I lost my father years back, and one of the only things I have of him is a tee-shirt that he used to wear, I sometimes wear it when I miss him so, you can get how important this is.

MY WALLET

Minus the fact that it has most of my documentation and IDs, my wallet was a gift from my mother when I graduated and it is special to me.

I've used it for years and it has gone through a lot but I don't think I'll be letting go of it anytime soon because I love it so much.

MY BLACK JEANS
While the other items are a bit sentimental, this is just a necessity to me because I love wearing jeans and the black one I have fits me in a way that others don't.

I have tried to shop for a replacement but there is always something wrong with it so, until then I'll be hanging onto the one I have.

IN CONCLUSION

Do I think I'll survive with just these items? Well, if I could get toothpaste, soap and perfumes, I'll totally survive on these, even without shoes involved.

For me, these things are the most important and I value them so much, even enough to live with just them.

This is my entry to #KISS for this week and I will be using this time to invite @benii to participate in answering this question.
