Mushrooms!

Aren't mushrooms great!? I mean, not just for eating but for taking pictures of, of course.
They are a brilliant thing to take pictures of and come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Living in northern Ontario, we don't get the most divers mushrooms and the most colorful ones but there are definitely some interesting ones and, most definitely, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It's one of the many great reasons to go hiking in the forest and where I live, there are tons of trails to take.

A lot of the times, I have to lay down on the ground to take a picture of the itty bitty guys. Most often actually. Apart from lobster claw mushrooms, big mushrooms are a rare site.

Well whatta ya know! A big mushroom! Even the dog is wondering what the heck this thing is.

My most favourite ones to take pictures of, are the rare hidden beauties like this one. Very small cluster that gives off fairy like vibes. I was lucky to have my eyes catch this actually, as it was hidden behind some branches and leaves and had to move some out of the way to get a clear image. I swear it's smaller than the length of my little finger. Feels like it was a gift from nature to have found it.

What do you think? Do you like taking pictures of mushrooms?
