The Bitter Truths That Should Make Us Better

We live in a universe that is conceived and governed by a non-conceivable dimensional scheme, says Sadguru.

Every one of us lives with a tickling time bomb hung on our necks. This life isn't for us to live forever. It is what we know. We know because we've met death in the eyes of many. We've seen it take away people like us, those we loved, and those we spat. We've heard tales of several deaths that we are certain ours too shall come. Still, our certainty makes us cherish life and frown at death. When a child is born, everyone laughs but the child. When someone dies, everyone weeps but the dead. The irony about life and death cannot be fully comprehended by the human brain.

Life itself is a precious gift, a treasure box Nature lent to everyone. And when our time stops counting, the treasure box goes back to its owner. The day we were born, that moment we were welcomed into the universe, we all opened this treasure. The day we'll die, the treasure stops being ours. Since we know that everything that has life has a limited time, what can we do than learn to maintain our treasure? What can we do than learn the art to change and improve the universe with our treasure?

But do we ever learn? I think we don't. We frown at the truth because we know it is bitter. The truth is always bitter. Nevertheless, as hard as it is to accept certain things as they are, we must not fail to embrace ourselves and refine our humanities. These bitter truths, when embraced, will form the crucible of our growth and expansion.

  1. We all Have a Legacy

Every man has a legacy. Our footprints are clear on the world's surface. No one is remembered for who they are but for their larger service to the world. Life is everyone's treasure. Our treasure is our existence. Let's maintain it. Let's improve with it. Let's change the world with it.

  1. We Are all Imperfect Creations

None of us is perfect. But through collaboration, we can tie our intelligence together and make the world a better place for all. Maybe the universe is fit for us and we are the unfit creations. Who knows?
A distinction between humans and animals will give us answers that we have intellect, we can reason, feel, and can sense the good from the bad. But the bitter truth remains: we are the unfit species.

  1. None of us Is Extraordinary

In the grand scheme of things, all of us are just human beings. The rich and the poor, the strong and the vulnerable; no one is less human.

  1. Happiness Does Not Come from Within

Happiness comes from meaning. Living a meaningful life, and engaging in the activities of living, and leaving our communities better than we found them will add to our lives. Many think they find happiness when they make wise choices or achieve certain goals and aspirations. But genuine happiness adds certain meanings to our lives. It is practical and expressive.

  1. No one Is Enough

No one has or knows it all. We have to leverage each other's abilities to thrive. But, what good is there in a world where the majority survives while the minority thrives? When the majority compete to survive and the minority collaborate to thrive, it's a nasty and brutish world. No one is enough.

In all, these are bitter truths we must accept. The universe is a gem we've all failed to augment. And In the end, remember, what matters will be how you use your treasure box, not how long you keep it.
