Hola cinéfilos, han sido unos días cargados de películas, he comenzado el año con bastantes reseñas y viendo cantidad de películas, he podido apartar tiempo para verlas y también para compartir mis opiniones con todos ustedes en esta grandiosa comunidad que sin dudas es de mis favoritas. En esta ocasión quiero hablar de una serie o mejor dicho una miniserie ya que es bastante corta, al menos en su primera temporada. Es una serie que deseaba ver hace tiempo y que ahora se encuentra en el servicio de HBO Max, es Peacemaker, uno de los miembros del escuadrón suicida del universo de DC.
Esta es una serie que muchos tendrían en cuenta para ver del momento en que se dio a conocer la noticia, la última película del Escuadrón Suicida dirigida por James Gunn nos dejó con ganas de ver más, además, nos regaló varios personajes que tienen un potencial enorme en la pantalla, ese es el caso del personaje interpretado por John Cena, Peacemaker. Un personaje que ahora llega en una serie siguiendo con esa esencia de oscuridad e irreverencia que Escuadrón Suicida.
Sinopsis:
Luego de sobrevivir milagrosamente a la última misión del Escuadrón Suicida, Peacemaker es reclutado para otra importante misión. Junto a su equipo trataran de desvelar un misterio sobre una fuerza extraña en el planeta. Este villano convertido en héroe tratará de lograr la paz cueste lo que cueste.
Análisis de la Serie
Para los que vimos Escuadrón Suicida el año pasado, conoceremos este singular personaje, teniendo en cuenta ese gran cambio en el universo de DC que proponía James Gunn en ese momento y que ahora se fortalece con esta miniserie. Cambiar el panorama al cual se observan las modernas películas de superhéroes, alejándose de su contraparte Marvel para dirigirse a un público adulto que disfruta de la violencia, del humor negro y la irreverencia en forma de una sátira. Esto es lo que se introduce en el universo de DC en esta serie.
La Trama
Pienso que la historia introducida en esta serie es algo que conocemos todos, es una historia que por sí sola no lograría atraer a los fanáticos de este tipo de producciones, sin embargo, los condimentos que agrega el director a esta producción son suficientes para generar cierta satisfacción en los espectadores. La trama nos presenta dentro además de esa misión por la que Peacemaker sigue en libertad, características o hechos ocurridos en su vida, humanizando de alguna manera este personaje y llevar las razones psicológicas a la luz de sus actos y comportamiento.
En esta serie, nos alejamos un poco al extremo fantasioso de las películas de superhéroes, si bien existe la ficción no es exagerada, lo cual me parece lo más conveniente para presentarnos este tipo de personajes, que, aunque si observaremos algunas pocas escenas con efectos especiales (quizás solo una) nos van envolviendo en una historia con menos ficción que la del Escuadrón Suicida.
Nuevos Personajes
En esta serie se introducen nuevos personajes, algunos ya los hemos visto en la película de Escuadros Suicida como parte del equipo técnico que terminó ayudando a este equipo de villanos a luchar contra aquella estrella de mar gigante, sin embargo, conocemos otros buenos personajes como White Dragon, el personaje que desde mi perspectiva tiene un gran potencial para el desarrollo de la historia de Peacemaker, un villano que muestra esa irreverencia contra Estados Unidos a manera de burla, además, del propio protagonista.
En algunos casos como el de White Dragon, no sabemos lo que puede realizar, a pesar de ser un hombre mayor, estoy seguro que tiene sus sorpresas bajo la manga, en algunas escenas conoceremos que tiene un gran potencial como antagonista. Otro personaje interesante se encuentra entre los compañeros de Peacemaker, a pesar de que el equipo es el típico escuadrón donde se encuentra la ruda, el intelectual, el líder y el asesino psicópata asesino (ya imaginaran quien es el asesino). Seguramente esta serie seguirá introduciendo personajes interesantes a este universo de DC.
Serie Anclada en la Burla
La película se encamina en sátira estadounidense, con elementos característicos del país norteamericano y que así mismo el humor se va añadiendo a las secuencias con esta connotación satírica de sus personajes, un ejemplo muy claro es la frase del propio Peacemaker: Matar a cuantos sea necesario para obtener la paz, un mensaje a modo de burla a una política occidental inclinada hacia el país norteamericana a manera de exageración.
Intro
Algo que normalmente no tiene mucha importancia en mis reseñas es el intro, sin embargo, por las redes sociales había visto que a muchos usuarios les parecía agradable esta intro. Desde mi punto de vista creo que la intro es algo muy bueno para comenzar con el entretenimiento de cada episodio, nos muestra algo diferente, llevado por un muy buen sountrack. Creo que es la primera vez que veo una serie sin adelantar la intro.

Opinión Final
Peacemaker, es una serie que vale la pena ver, es corta y nos introduce en la historia del personaje, cumple con el objetivo primordial de entretenernos, de dejarnos con ganas de seguir viendo la serie y eso es necesario para mantener al espectador atento a las producciones que giran alrededor de todo este universo de DC.
Esta serie logra un nivel de irreverencia que no se muestra en las películas modernas de superhéroes, alejándose totalmente a las producciones de “todo público” de Marvel atrayendo directamente al adulto amante de las sátiras y del humor negro.
Estos primeros cuatro capítulos, sirven como puerta para comenzar a adentrarnos en esta interesante historia, por lo cual quizás la trama o la historia nos parezca conocida y con poca sorpresa (al menos hasta ahora). Conocemos nuevos personajes que seguramente le seguiremos viendo en otras temporadas, pero como nos ha mostrado este director, no deberíamos apegarnos mucho a los personajes ya que pueden ser eliminados de un momento a otro, así lo dejo muy claro en Escuadrón Suicida, un aspecto que siempre será interesante como condimento al contexto narrativo.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, así como lo mencioné es una serie para tener en cuenta, vale la pena verla, incluso, queda esa sensación de que queremos ver más debido a un final intrigante. Por supuesto, debemos tener en cuenta que esta producción a demás de ser violenta posee contenido sexual en un nivel un poco más alto de lo esperado, esto puede incomodar a algunos usuarios, sin embargo, esa esencia oscura con humor negro es lo que atrae de esta serie. In this series, we move away a little to the fantasy end of superhero movies, although there is fiction is not exaggerated, which seems to me the most convenient to introduce us to this type of characters, which, although we will observe a few scenes with special effects (perhaps only one) are wrapping us in a story with less fiction than the Suicide Squad.

In some cases like White Dragon, we do not know what he can do, despite being an older man, I'm sure he has his surprises up his sleeve, in some scenes we will know that he has great potential as an antagonist. Another interesting character is found among Peacemaker's teammates, even though the team is the typical squad where we find the tough one, the intellectual, the leader and the psycho killer (you can imagine who the killer is). Surely this series will continue to introduce interesting characters to this DC universe.

The film is based on American satire, with characteristic elements of the North American country and that the humor is added to the sequences with this satirical connotation of its characters, a very clear example is the phrase of Peacemaker himself: Kill as many as necessary to obtain peace, a message as a mockery of a Western policy inclined towards the North American country by way of exaggeration.
Intro
Something that normally does not have much importance in my reviews is the intro, however, through social networks I had seen that many users found this intro nice. From my point of view I think the intro is something very good to start with the entertainment of each episode, it shows us something different, led by a very good sountrack. I think it's the first time I watch a series without fast forwarding the intro.

Peacemaker, is a series worth watching, it is short and introduces us to the history of the character, it fulfills the primary objective of entertaining us, to leave us wanting to continue watching the series and that is necessary to keep the viewer attentive to the productions that revolve around this entire DC universe.
This series achieves a level of irreverence that is not shown in modern superhero movies, totally distancing itself from Marvel's "all audiences" productions, appealing directly to the adult lover of satire and black humor.
These first four chapters serve as a gateway to start getting into this interesting story, so perhaps the plot or the story will seem familiar and with little surprise (at least so far). We meet new characters that we will surely continue to see in other seasons, but as this director has shown us, we should not get too attached to the characters because they can be eliminated at any moment, as he made very clear in Suicide Squad, an aspect that will always be interesting as a spice to the narrative context.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, as I mentioned it is a series to keep in mind, it is worth watching, even, there is that feeling that we want to see more due to an intriguing ending. Of course, we must keep in mind that this production in addition to being violent has sexual content at a level a little higher than expected, this may bother some users, however, that dark essence with black humor is what attracts this series. I recommend it
