Ozark Life ~ August 10 2022

Summer is slowly waning here in the Ozarks.

The temperature is not plunging by any means, but the leaves are starting to be not quite as green, the butterflies not quite as colorful, and the nighttime breeze has a soft, almost indistinguishable chill to it.

Compared to their colors to just a couple of weeks ago, the swallowtails are steadily losing their vibrant colors.

I haven’t identified this little guy yet, I’m not as familiar with fungi as I am with trees and flowers. Any ideas? I thought it was an egg at first!

Someone left a smile on the trail. At least, I think it’s a smile. It does look very toothy.

Have an amazingly Actifitty day, Hive community!
