Introducing Project Streetheart

 

So I had this very simple question: Could we use Steem to help homeless people?

Immediately when I thought of the question, I also knew the answer: YES!

Now there are many ways to do this and I hope that others will explorer different ideas or do something similar in other cities...

The most simple way I came up with is to use the payouts from the #Streetheart posts and directly give them to the people on the streets.

100% of the SBD raised in a Streetheart post will be used for this purpose

How will this exactly work?

The first post is to test the waters: Does the Steemit community like this idea?

 
If so, then the next point to consider is how to put the SBD into people's hands who don't have a steem account...

I am proposing two ideas:

• Either I will make a fund into which the payouts will go into until we get ~10 SBD together (this is the minimum amount that I need to withdraw cryptos into my bank account)
  OR
• I will convert the SBD payout from the posts directly into € on that specific day and distribute the equivalent Euros into people's hands from my own pocket (obviously this is riskier for me as the price of SBD varies)

I would like the community to help me consider these points. What do you think is better?
