Behind the scenes with solymi, a photostory

This is my very first post using Ecency mobile. I am right now traveling in the Netherlands but i have not written a post for a long time.
This is a test to see how a post created in the mobile version looks.

If you don’t know me, I am a film maker and photographer currently living in Vienna. I share with you some photos I took on actual movie sets. For good reasons I can’t always disclose every bit of information. But I will try to share what is publicly available.

Picture of grip equipment on set of 15 Jahre a German Austrian feature film.

I have been working on a ton of movie sets in the past years, some of them international with a huge crew and others really small with only a few crew members.

I am sweeping through my pics on the phone to find the most interesting ones for you.

This was a commercial set for Teekanne a brand selling Tea all over the world. We shot this one in the Therme Oberlaa in Vienna. This was a stunt shot since the person in the tea pot outfit had to jump from the tower. However this is still the real actor so we had to secure him for the shot. After this we exchanged the actor for a stunt person so we could shoot the the jump.

This was again a commercial for Bank Austria, with a real Tennis star as a talent. I was driving Dominic Thiem in a pretty nice Volvo XC90 for the time of the shoot. In the background you can see the crew working on a droneshot.

On some shoots I work as an electrician or light technician.
These where taken on the set of a music video for an Austrian band . We had a special underwater case for the camera.

I also worked on a series called Vorstadtweiber which is something like the Austrian version of desperate housewives. The following few pics are from several shooting days.

Camera assistants need a lot of experience, And you need to know all your shit by heart.

This concludes a collection of behind the scenes pictures, all these where taken by me.
