Saludos amigos de #hive y #gems, el día de hoy estoy feliz de compartirles esta decoración de la torta sorpresa que se le realizó a mi primita como regalo de sus 10 años, para la cual su deseo era invitar a su maestra y a su mejor amiga a su cumple, pero como no se podría, mi mamá (abuela) y yo decidimos cantarle cumpleaños en la escuela sin que ella supiera. Ya con una semana de anticipación hable con su maestra, para que supiera la sorpresa que le daríamos a mi primita, y así tratar de terminar las clases un poco más temprano para que se le cantara cumpleaños. Ninguno de mis otros primitos sabían, incluso fui a buscar la torta con mi primo de 14 años, llevándolo con la excusa de ir al banco, y fue ya cuando llegue a casa de mi amiga que se enteró que le tenía una tortita a mi primita (si hermana menor).
Greetings friends of #hive and #gems, today I am happy to share with you this decoration of the surprise cake that was made for my little cousin as a gift for her 10th birthday, for which her wish was to invite her teacher and her best friend to her birthday, but as it was not possible, my mom (grandmother) and I decided to sing her birthday at school without her knowing. A week in advance I talked to her teacher, so that she would know the surprise we were going to give my little cousin, and so we could try to end classes a little earlier so that we could sing her birthday. None of my other little cousins knew, I even went to get the cake with my 14 year old cousin, taking him with the excuse of going to the bank, and it was when I arrived at my friend's house that she found out that I had a cake for my little cousin (yes younger sister).
Ese día había exposiciones en el escenario, mi primita de 12 (6to grado) se sorprendió al vernos llegar con la sorpresa para su hermana, ya que ella andaba practicando el baile de apertura para las exposiciones, y vio cuando llegamos con la caja, mi mamá y mi tía estaban en la escuela esperando que empezarán las exposiciones. Guardamos la torta en el salón de otra maestra, para así ir a ver las exposiciones y que mi primita no sospechara, al finalizar todo le dimos la sorpresa, y le cantamos cumpleaños en el salón, mi primita estuvo muy emocionada y contenta con esta sorpresa, ya que de verdad no se la esperaba, y así pudo compartir con su maestra y amigos.
That day there were exhibitions on the stage, my little cousin of 12 (6th grade) was surprised to see us arrive with the surprise for her sister, since she was practicing the opening dance for the exhibitions, and she saw when we arrived with the box, my mom and my aunt were at school waiting for the exhibitions to start. We kept the cake in the classroom of another teacher, so we could go to see the exhibitions and my little cousin would not suspect, at the end of everything we gave her the surprise, and we sang birthday in the classroom, my little cousin was very excited and happy with this surprise, because she really did not expect it, and so she could share with her teacher and friends.
Ayude a mi amiga a realizar la torta, ya que quería colaborar y aprender a decorar tortas, así que mi amiga me dejó ayudarla, aunque obviamente ella hizo la mayor parte. Ella tiene su propia marca de postres, vendiendo una variedad de tortas, brownies y quesillos, siendo estos últimos los que usualmente les compro. Por eso está experiencia de ayudarla fue algo genial y una tarde muy agradable, dejando todo preparado para el día siguiente, siendo asi cuestión de sólo ir a buscar la torta.
I helped my friend to make the cake, since I wanted to collaborate and learn how to decorate cakes, so my friend let me help her, although obviously she did most of it. She has her own brand of desserts, selling a variety of cakes, brownies and quesillos, the latter being the ones I usually buy from them. So this experience of helping her was great and a very pleasant afternoon, leaving everything ready for the next day, so it was just a matter of picking up the cake.

Esta torta la realicé con mantequilla, azúcar, huevos, jugo de durazno, harina de trigo, leudante, una cucharada de polvo para hornear y vainilla. Una vez lista sacamos la torta del horno y la dejamos reposar hasta enfriar, colocando la de una vez sobre la base en forma de flor.
I made this cake with butter, sugar, eggs, peach juice, wheat flour, leavening agent, a tablespoon of baking powder and vanilla. Once ready, take the cake out of the oven and let it rest until it cools, placing it all at once on the base in the shape of a flower.
Luego batimos el merengue italiano, después de batir bien las claras y agregar el almíbar, batiendo hasta lograr una consistencia homogénea, le agregamos un chorrito de vinagre para que le dé más firmeza y una cucharadita de la escencia de vainilla
Then we beat the Italian meringue, after beating the egg whites well and adding the syrup, beating until a homogeneous consistency, we add a splash of vinegar to give it more firmness and a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
Luego pintamos el merengue con colorante líquido hasta que quede del color que buscamos, en este caso fue un tono rosado. Dividiendo el merengue en dos partes, una blanca y una rosada.
Then we paint the meringue with liquid coloring until it is the color we are looking for, in this case it was a pinkish tone. Dividing the meringue in two parts, one white and one pink.
Agregamos el merengue blanco a la torta y la alisamos completamente, cubriendola cuidadosamente, rectificando que toda la torta quede cubierta.
Add the white meringue to the cake and smooth it completely, covering it carefully, making sure that the whole cake is covered.
Con una duya 1-M Wilton realizamos rosetones en la parte superior en forma de medialuna, manteniendo el patron, haciéndo el proceso de manera precisa y fluida.
With a 1-M Wilton duya we make rosettes on the top in the shape of a crescent, keeping the pattern, making the process in a precise and fluid way.
Luego decoramos la parte de abajo de la torta, rodeandola de lo que yo llamo petalos rosados, en todo el borde de la base.
Then we decorate the bottom of the cake, surrounding it with what I call pink petals, all around the edge of the base.
Por último, matizamos con un poco de dorado y agregamos perlas doradas en medio de cada roseton y sprinkles, y agregamos lluvia de colores, culminando así el decorado de esta hermosa torta sorpresa.
Finally, we shaded with a bit of gold and added golden pearls in the middle of each rosette and sprinkles, and added rain of colors, culminating the decoration of this beautiful surprise cake.
Fue un día genial, a pesar de la odisea en búsqueda de la torta ( primero había que agarrar un bus al centro y luego caminar como 15 min para llegar a casa de mi amiga, pAra después volver), por suerte no me perdí las exposiciones de mis primitas, y luego finalizando esa mañana con una rica torta. También le compre un quesillo a parte, pero ese lo guarde para la noche, sinceramente el quesillo que hace mi amiga es super adictivo, a veces me contento de no comprar varios, por eso no dude en pedirle a ella la realización de esta hermosa torta para el cumple de mi primita. Espero aprender más cosas de mi amiga y ayudarla en un futuro, quién sabe si después me enseña a realizar sus sabrosos quesillos y tortas frias .
It was a great day, despite the odyssey in search of the cake (first we had to take a bus downtown and then walk about 15 minutes to get to my friend's house, and then return), luckily I did not miss the exhibitions of my little cousins, and then ending the morning with a delicious cake. I also bought her a quesillo on the side, but I saved that one for the night, honestly the quesillo that my friend makes is super addictive. Sometimes I'm glad I don't buy several, so I didn't hesitate to ask her to make this beautiful cake for my little cousin's birthday. I hope to learn more things from my friend and help her in the future, who knows if later she will teach me how to make her tasty quesillos and cold cakes.
