This may be news to some folk... every time you vote on someone's post you receive 50% of the vote you send. It's called a Curation Reward.
Every person with staked POB in their account has the power to send digitized tokens to another person in appreciation of their work. You receive tokens for doing it, they receive tokens for getting your attention, impressing you, providing value... the list goes on.
Proof Of Brain can be as complex or as simple as you like.
I may seem a bit off base today, that's because I am.
The main thing to remember is that, as the title states, we're all POB curators (I'd even go as far as to say people who delegate to other projects are curators by proxy, if you own the stake, it's your responsibility). If you are putting other people on a pedestal because you believe that the title "curator" has any kind of superiority, well I'm afraid to tell you, you're thinking too small.
With the very early stages of the platform behind us, we're now in the not-so-very-but-still-very-early stage of the platform. If you take a brief glance at the richlist you'll see (and this is from the top of my head because I don't even see the value in being accurate, that's not the point) a small handful of folks with over 5K stake, a larger handful with between 1K-5K, and a bit bigger handful of people with under 1K stake. This has all been generated within the first couple of months.
Some might tell you that it's impossible to be a whale, or that you need to @ss-lick to get there, but the truth of the matter is, it doesn't really matter any which way.
If you believe being a whale is the true goal, then you'll have a shitty and lonely time if you ever become one (something which isn't hard to do if you are here right now and you are looking at the bigger picture).
I've said multiple times that being a whale is overrated. You have constant eyes on your actions, you are responsible for a larger portion of the distribution, and you have bold fuckers wanting to take a bite at you.
You can guarantee that I'm staying firmly in the "reasonable stake just like all the other people who are here to have a laugh, learn, and piss about without being too serious" bracket, and you can expect to see me continue to give out juicy prizes and delegations.
Consider where you fall on the "enlightened" spectrum when it comes to being part of this community. Share your views below, I'll send 20 POB to whoever impresses me (it doesn't take much).

I've adjusted my comment voting percentages today to 3% and 6% instead of 5% and 10%. This is to give some more vote strength for posts since we have a whole lot of content appearing. I'm also working my way through the WOTW posts in order (I may be checking posts of people I follow frequently earlier), I will be around to them all.
