She remembered how hard it was the early days. She never left him alone. She thought he might decide to jump off the balcony one day. It was the worst thing a mother could think of her child but she couldn't help herself. What did he do wrong? Was it her fault? Did she eat something she shouldn't have when she was pregnant with him? He was twelve! A baby. Her baby. Why a heart condition at this age? -@chinyerevivian

Even as a toddler, Charlie had always been skeptical about everything around him. He was always trying to find some logic behind the superstitions that were told to him and his brother. And as far as he was concerned, if there was no logical explanation to the superstition, then there was no way any of it was real. -@bruno-kema

My dad has a globe at my house that spins, and there are maps with the countries on it. I'm going to get it. Be careful not to let them see us. That world map is an heirloom. He inherited it from his grandfather and he doesn't want it to be touched for anything in the world, and of course he never lends it. -@katleya

For a couple of hours, everything was laughter and drinks back and forth. Eventually, all the subgroups of guests started minding their own business. We, the cute guy and me, went to the farthest area of the backyard and sat on a beautiful wooden bench. For a few minutes, we remained silent as we watched the first fireflies perform their dance. Cute guy's left arm was comfortably placed around my shoulders. We were so close I could sense his fragrance tickling my nose. -@beautifulwreck

When Anuli turned twenty-four years of age, trading in dried fish and crayfish from the east to traders from beyond the great river to the west. She had made so much money and influence and had become very famous. But men around the region were intimidated by her prowess and had feared to ask her hand in marriage. -@mrenglish

The snow crunches under the sole of my black ankle boots as I make my way towards the city square. Covered from head to toe in winter clothing, my hands in my pockets and my eyes on the road, I steadily make my way through the swarm of people. My mind reverts back to the days when everyone believed in magical creatures and Santa too. Now, even kids can't believe it because they've been told it's a lie. -@deraaa
