Hello everyone I am Musa Ibn Mahmud. I am from Nigeria which is aptly named the giant of Africa. Sadly this giant has been induced into coma by elements from within and without. As to who these elements are, that's a discussion for another day.

I love movies or TV series which narrate history irrespective of the genre. I believe there's always a lesson to learn from well scripted movies centered on historical events. I like to think of myself as a writer who is just finding his feet and hope to get better with time and dedication. I never really put my writing skills to good use until I was faced with the challenge of writing my thesis for my Master's degree in 2016. Although before then I had written a few stuff every now and then on Facebook. Thereafter life as an adult happened and I abandoned writing to face other challenges.

Then Covid hit and everything was at a stand still. It was at this point out of boredom as well as a need to occupy oneself productively that I encountered the read.cash platform which encouraged aspiring writers with tips in cryptocurrency for their write ups. Since then I have also joined other online platforms platforms such as medium.

I hope to bag a PhD someday despite the fact these days in Nigeria, academic qualifications don't seem to amount to much because of the way education is now generally regarded as not being worthwhile because of the unfair remuneration academics receive considering their expected contribution to societal development.

I believe that the world can be a better place if we all strive to always do the right thing as conscience dictates. Sadly the world is currently in turmoil because the powers that be are after their self serving interests. If they are to be overthrown then humanity has to come first with respect for individual differences and opinions. It is impossible for everyone to always share same views on all issues but when the goal is for something loftier then there's a need for compromise to arrive at a common ground for peaceful coexistence.

I hope to share my little life experiences in the future and the lessons I have learnt therefrom while also learning from other members of the community.
