About LUVshares

Goal

LUVshares has a simple goal and mission: to share love around the Hive blockchain via the LUV token.

Maybe you like a certain post, or comment, or image, or the person behind it. Maybe that person could use a little love. Give that post an upvote!

But, you also might give it some LUV.

LUVbot

The LUVbot is how LUV is given out in what might be called Proof-of-Love mining. Unlike Proof-of-Work Bitcoin or Proof-of-Stake Ethereum where your effort rewards you, with Proof-of-Love, your effort rewards others. It is giving and expecting nothing in return.

Anyone with a Hive username can receive LUV. Anyone with at least 10 LUV in their wallet can freely share LUV tokens simply by replying to a post or comment and including !LUV in your reply.

Reply with...	Result	Note
`!LUV`	1 LUV will be sent, from you, for free, to whomever you are replying.	Since you can give three LUV per day, you could use this command three times per day.
`!LUV 3`	3 LUV will be sent.	This is the day's limit. So, you could only do this once per day.
`!LUV 1.5`	1.5 LUV will be sent.	You can set any decimal amount between 0 and 3.

Notes

You need to have 10 LUV tokens in your wallet to use the bot.
You can send a total of 3 LUV per day.
You can add a number after the !LUV command and you can use decimals, like !LUV 1.123.
Sending LUV tokens through the bot does not decrease your LUV wallet amount. The LUV is freely given from @luvshares on your behalf.
These are the current settings. They may be tweaked in the future.

Check your wallet (or get LUV)

You can buy or sell LUV on Hive-Engine, TribalDex, or Leo DEX. Or you can check your current amount in the wallet in those places. PeakD can be used also by choosing "Hive Engine Wallet".
LUV was begun when roughly the first 2,000 LUV were airdropped. The airdrop is over :( , but it you'd like to have your first LUV, leave a comment below and something just might happen. :)

What can this LUV token be used for? This question has been asked and answered here. A summary of some LUV uses:

To spread some love around the Hive blockchain.
To bring a smile.
To meet and engage with other people.
To collect NFTs. Yes, you can buy-with-LUV in the LUVstore.
To have fun.

LUV Appreciation Drop (LAD)

The LUV Appreciation Drop (LAD) is a thank you gift for LUV users. I introduced the initial LAD idea here and summarized the round 1 LAD here. A round 2 LAD went out went out Apr. 14, 2021 with a slight difference from round 1. But like round 1, if you held 25 LUV at the time of the drop, you'll get a LUV bonus.

There will be future LUV Appreciation Drops. Wen LAD? surprise. How much LAD? surprise.
