What is wire fraud?
I saw a video that said the red Power Ranger actor went to jail for wire fraud. I don't know if this is true or which red ranger. Different actors have played red rangers. The show has been on since 1993. That means around 29 seasons. I am not sure what is true or not. I was wondering what might be wire fraud because I don't want bad government to pretend as if Bitcoin is wire fraud. I like Bitcoin. I believe Bitcoin is good. But bad government can lie and say it is bad, a fraud, a scam, etc. They can try to do many things. They are wrong. But I decided to look at what wire fraud might be.
According to Cornell Law School, five elements must be present to meet the definition of wire fraud.
The accused must have been engaged in a scheme to commit fraud
The scheme must have involved a lie or omission
The scheme resulted or would have resulted in the loss of money, property or services
The accused used or intended to use wire communications (for example, radio, television, wire) to commit fraud
The accused used interstate wire communications to commit fraud

Good advice to get rid of the stuff at the end of the link. I started noticing this with Facebook links some years ago. I can remove them when sharing links. But I can imagine it can be hard for the average user.

The hard part is when you don't know where you are going online. For example, if I'm going to a blog post on Hive, then you should assume the name of the article or the title to the post will be included in the URL, that is the hyperlink, the web address. Phones can make it harder if you're not taking the time to locate the links before clicking on them. Computer nerds like me will look. So, I would describe this to be like web surfing anatomy. I understand how a URL is created and each website may do things their own way. But regardless of that, URL 101 is that a link should have roughly two or three main parts to it. There is the domain name, the page name part, and sometimes a username part and/or other things too. A good analogy to this might be snail mail. Imagine seeing a 200 digit zip code. That would be a good example of something gone wrong. A zip code is usually only five digits long. Well, maybe ten digits. But it's like, once you know the anatomy of web links, it's like looking at a person and seeing ten heads coming off that person. You may not know how, why, what, who, when, where, etc, but you do know there is something wrong going on.

I use Dissenter which I hear is a version or fork of Brave. Now, I hear the Dissenter project may currently be abandoned as of 2021 or whatever it may have been. Therefore, Brave may be a better choice. I'm not sure how Dissenter compares with Brave exactly. I do know I enjoy using Dissenter. But it may become a problem if Dissenter is not being updated with security patches or what have you. My impression was that Dissenter was more customizable than Brave. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that. I may give Vivaldi another try since I've not used that web browser in a while.
