Her email reminded Sen of his Kolkata holiday last year. Sen had some vivid memories of that trip. As long as Sen stayed in Kolkata and Delhi, he continued to have meetings with Rita. One afternoon, they were sitting at the Grand restaurant in Connaught Place. The weather was hot, the sun was about to set, and the wind had almost stopped. Sen was sipping beer while she was drinking black coffee and enjoying cheese dumplings. -@rayt2

I quickly put on my face mask and walked around trying to find where Santa Claus was because I knew that I would find a lot of families waiting in line to see him and if I was feeling it, I might also join the line and who knows maybe I could get a Christmas miracle and appear with my family. -@khaleesii

The Festive Holiday

Some of the villagers came to welcome them the next morning, happy to have seen them come to the village for the festival. Jane went to join her friends on the field. It was the 23rd day in December, every house was busy frying meat and making local drinks from millet, there was always enough to eat on that day. Bisi and Jane helped grandma to harvest her farm yields, so there was enough for them to eat. -@dwixer

On the other side of the door, numerous machinery of different structures lay dormant inside a warehouse the size of two football fields. He slowly walked towards the railings then stared at the scenery, admiring the full view of the dark desolate place that is his Workshop. A remote facility where advanced military weaponry is produced for on-field deployment. -@khoola

A Holiday from the Rain

On the corner of the house stand angry men, sharpening their knives as they look at me with anger and disgust. On the corner opposite them sit children covered in ashes, giving me looks to seek my help. The old pictures I hung on my wall, places I went to, people I talked to, and promises I made all stare at me, questioning how I had the nerves to call them my reason to fight. -@amirtheawesome1
