HIve there, hola a todos!!!!

Today while watching reels on social networks I came across this recipe that I couldn't resist trying.
Bizcochuelo without butter and egg, that is... vegan... but also without vegetable milk! if not water... Mmm... how would it look like? I had to try it.
The truth is that trying to do it was not in vain. First I share with you the extremely simple procedure and then I tell you my personal opinion about the result.

ESPHoy viendo reels en redes sociales me encontré con esta receta que no pude resistirme a probar.
Bizcochuelo sin manteca y sin huevo, es decir… vegano… pero además sin leche vegetal! si no agua… Mmm… cómo quedaría??? Tenía que probarlo.
La verdad que probar hacerlo no fue en vano. Primero les comparto el procedimiento extremadamente sencillo y luego les cuento mi opinión personal sobre el resultado.



WHAT WILL YOU NEED? // QUE VAS A NECESITAR?

ENGESP
2 cups of 0000 flour.
1 teaspoon of baking soda.
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
2 extra tablespoons of flour.
2 tablespoons of bitter cocoa.
50 ml of oil.
3/4 cup sugar.
1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
1 teaspoon of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.
200 ml of water.
2 tazas de harina 0000.
1 cdita de bicarbonato de sodio.
1/2 cdita de polvo de hornear.
2 cdas extra de harina.
2 cdas de cacao amargo.
50 ml de aceite.
3/4 de taza de azucar.
1 cdita de esencia de vainilla.
1 cdita de jugo de limon o vinagre de manzana.
200 ml de agua.


AND NOW WHAT? // Y AHORA QUE?


In a bowl place the sugar, oil, vanilla and lemon juice or vinegar.
In a separate bowl sift the flour with the baking powder and baking soda.

ESPEn un recipiente colocar el azucar, aceite, la vainilla y jugo de limón o vinagre.
En un recipiente aparte tamiza la harina con el polvo de hornear y bicarbonato de sodio.

Mix the sugar, oil, vanilla and lemon juice until a sandy mixture is formed.
Add the water and half of the sifted flour.

ESPMezcla el azucar, aceite, la vainilla y jugo de limón hasta formar un arenado.
Agrega el agua y la mitad de la harina tamizada.

Integrate and add the other half of the flour.

ESPIntegra y agrega la otra mitad de la harina.

Separate the mixture into two bowls and add to one part the two tablespoons of extra flour and to the other the bitter cocoa.

ESPSepara la mezcla en dos recipientes y agrega a una parte las dos cucharadas de harina extra y a la otra el cacao amargo.

Pour the mixtures into an oiled and floured pan in an interleaved manner.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes.

ESPVierte las mezclas en un molde enaceitado y enharinado de forma intercalada.
Lleva al horno a 180 grados celsius durante 40 minutos.

NOW THEN... MY PERSONAL OPINION:

In favor: Easy, fast, economical.
Cons: Something about the taste doesn't quite fascinate me.

The truth is that the texture of the sponge cake is more than acceptable, but in the taste you can notice the absence of at least one vegetable milk. The flavor is very flat and not very consistent. However, taking into account the accessibility of the ingredients and the quick preparation without the need for specific utensils, I think it is worth considering this recipe that can get us out of more than one trouble.
No doubt it can be compensated by adding dulce de leche, some icing or meringue!

It should be noted that my boyfriend loved it and did not agree with me on the shortcomings that I found.

ESPAHORA BIEN… MI OPINION PERSONAL:

A favor: Fácil, rápido, económico.
Contra: Algo en el sabor no termina de fascinarme.

La verdad la textura del bizcochuelo es algo más que aceptable, pero en el sabor se nota la ausencia de, al menos una leche vegetal. El sabor es muy plano y poco consistente. Sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta la accesibilidad de los ingredientes y la rápida preparación sin necesidad de utensillos específicos creo que vale la pena tener en cuenta esta receta que nos puede sacar de más de un apuro.
Sin dudas se puede compensar agregando dulce de leche, algún glaseado o merengue!

Cabe destacar que a mi novio le encantó y no coincidió conmigo en las carencias que yo le encontré.
