By the standards of a contemporary author’s wage, it’s miserable. You can see it in my SteemitBoard stats. But that is not the main motive for my writings…
I simply refuse the idea that reward should be the main factor for sending the posts at Steemit. I have to respond with the words said by one of my favorite authors, Kurt Vonnegut:
The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake.
True. Plus, blockchain is a way to put your photos, memories, thoughts… and have them always with you until the net is alive. No, I don’t have the best photos in the World, nor I have many followers. But that isn’t important. The sharing is important. Someone will, sometime, maybe found in my posts a piece of a puzzle important to construct his own picture of the World, just as I did reading books of other people.
I write until my back hurts. Which is pretty quickly. If you are better, or have more luck than me, I advise you to buy Bitcoin for your Steem and wait a few years. Bitcoin is rising on average 300% in the last six years. Have a little patience, and ROI will come along :)
